nWe are looking for Engineers who are exceptional hands-on builders—those who can take a business or product requirement, think through the architecture, and rapidly turn it into production-ready software.

nThese senior experienced developers can design, develop, and scale high-performance web applications and blockchain-based payment solutions. The ideal candidates will lead technical architecture decisions, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable systems.

nThese developers will work closely with product, security, and business teams to deliver mission-critical applications handling financial transactions and blockchain integrations.

n

nThe Role

nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will primarily own backend engineering, APIs, payment infrastructure and core platform services, while also contributing to frontend development.

n

n

n
- Design and build scalable backend services, APIs and payment infrastructure with a focus on performance, security and reliability.
n
- Develop end-to-end payment flows including transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation and integrations with third-party providers.
n
- Build integrations with blockchain networks, wallets, exchanges and third-party providers.
n
- Contribute across the full stack, including develop modern web applications and frontend components when required using React, Angular, Vue or similar technologies.
n
- Use AI-native development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate coding, debugging, testing and delivery.
n
- Own features end-to-end—from requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment and production support.
n
- Solve complex technical problems with a high degree of independence.
n
- Help establish engineering practices that allow Bitfia to build and ship faster.
n




- Work closely with founders and the engineering team on architecture, code quality, security and solving complex problems to continuously increase development velocity.

n

nTechnical Skills

n● Use AI tools/agents to automate, develop, build and productionize the code, you are free to use AI, but code ownership, which includes code correctness and production stability lies with you.

n● Good understanding of how llm works for retraining and RAG, tool chains similar to langchain etc.

n● Lead the end-to-end architecture of web and blockchain-based systems.

n● Make informed decisions on technology stack, design patterns, and frameworks.

n● Review code, enforce best practices, and maintain high engineering standards.

nWeb Application Development

n● Design and build scalable, secure, high-availability web applications.

n● Work with up-to-date frontend and backend frameworks.

n● Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

n● Implement RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.

nBlockchain & Payment Systems

n● Design and integrate blockchain-based payment rails.

n● Work with smart contracts, wallets, and transaction processing systems.

n● Handle on-chain and off-chain interactions.

n● Ensure security of transactions, private keys, and sensitive data.

n● Integrate with third-party payment providers and blockchain networks.

nSecurity & Compliance

n● Implement security best practices for financial and blockchain systems.

n● Conduct threat modeling and code-level security reviews.

n● Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, data protection laws).

n● Manage encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

nCollaboration & Delivery





n● Collaborate with product managers and founders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

n● Ensure timely delivery of features with high quality.

n● Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and technical discussions.

nRequired Skills & Qualifications

n

nCore Experience

n● 3+ years of professional software development experience.

n● Strong experience in web application development, and capability to learn new domains and lead entire products.

n● Hands-on experience with blockchain technologies and payment systems.

n

nTechnical Skills

n● AI: Building agents using a mixture of experts, understanding of re-training AIs for specific domains, RAG and GraphRags, training your own SLM’s.

n● Backend: Python, golang, nodejs or similar

n● Frontend: React, Angular, or Vue.js

n● Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis

n● APIs: REST, GraphQL

n● Cloud: AWS, GCP, or Azure

n● DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

nBlockchain & Payments

n● Experience with Ethereum / EVM-compatible chains, or similar.

n● Smart contracts (Solidity or equivalent).

n● Wallet integrations and transaction lifecycle.

n● Understanding of gas fees, confirmations, and blockchain security.

n● Payment flows, settlements, and reconciliation.
