Role Description The Tandoor Commis II is a full-time, on-site role based at jüSTa Hotels & Resorts in Bhuj. This role supports the tandoor kitchen operations, including daily preparation and cooking of tandoor items such as bread, kebabs, and regional specialties, in line with jüSTa’s quality and presentation standards.

The Tandoor

Commis II assists senior chefs with mise en place, seasoning, marination, and portioning, while maintaining clean workstations and equipment.

Responsibilities include adhering to food safety and hygiene guidelines, following standard recipes, minimizing wastage, and coordinating with the service team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.



The role also involves contributing to menu execution during peak meal periods, supporting special events, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality culinary experiences for guests.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and Cooking skills, with hands-on experience in tandoor operations or Indian cuisine.
- Candidates should possess solid Culinary Skills, including knowledge of ingredients, traditional recipes, plating, and portion control.
- Candidates should possess a transparent understanding of Hygiene and food safety standards, including proper cleaning, sanitization, and storage practices.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service teams and follow instructions accurately.
