- Monitor stock levels of medicines, surgical consumables, and general hospital items.

- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) methods to minimize wastage from expired items.

- Conduct routine physical stock audits and cycle counts for accurate reconciliation. [1, 2]

- Process purchase requisitions received from various hospital departments.

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery, price negotiations, and resolution of short supplies.

- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs). [1, 2]

- Issue supplies and medical materials safely to departments like the Operation Theatre (OT), ICU, and general wards.

- Track urgent requirements and prevent critical stock-outs of life-saving drugs or materials. [1, 2]

- Maintain logs, ledgers, and digital inventory systems (ERP/Hospital Management software).

- Ensure storage conditions meet safety and regulatory standards, including temperature controls for sensitive pharmaceuticals.

- Assist in internal, financial, and quality accreditation audits (such as NABH).
