Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store Executive to manage day-to-day stores operations at our manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for material receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, documentation, and coordination with Purchase, Production, Quality, and other departments to ensure smooth availability and movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle receipt, verification, storage, and issuance of raw materials, bought-out items, consumables, tools, spares, and other materials.
- Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, invoices, and other relevant documents.
- Coordinate with the Quality/Inspection team for inspection and acceptance of incoming materials.
- Ensure proper GRN preparation and timely system entries for all received materials.
- Issue materials to Production and other departments against authorized material requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory transactions in ERP/SAP or the applicable inventory management system.
- Ensure proper identification, labelling, binning, stacking, and preservation of materials.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Monitor minimum/reorder stock levels and highlight shortages well in advance.
- Conduct cycle counts, periodic physical stock verification, and reconciliation of physical stock with system stock.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, excess stock, damaged materials,
and non-moving/slow-moving inventory.
- Maintain proper documentation for material inward, outward, return, rejection, and scrap.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Logistics teams for smooth material movement.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices within the stores area.
- Follow company EHS, safety, and material-handling procedures.
- Prepare and maintain periodic MIS reports related to inventory, receipts, issues, shortages, and stock status.
- Support internal, statutory, customer, and inventory audits by providing required records and documents.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Diploma / B.Com / B.Sc. / Any Graduate with relevant Stores & Inventory experience.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in Stores/Warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering organization.
- Good knowledge of inventory management, material handling, GRN, material issuance, stock reconciliation, and stores documentation.
- Working knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel is preferred.
- Understanding of FIFO, FEFO, 5S, inventory control, and basic warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Purchase, Quality, Finance, and other internal departments.
- Good communication, documentation, and numerical skills.
- Should be disciplined, systematic, and capable of maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy.
