Urgent Hiring – Sr. Design Engineer | Solar EPC

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

We are looking for a Sr. Design Engineer to lead end-to-end solar PV design for EPC projects, including design optimization, engineering deliverables, and client technical coordination for Residential, C&I; Rooftop, and Ground-Mounted Solar PV projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design of Residential, C&I; Rooftop, and Ground-Mounted Solar PV systems.
- Prepare PV layouts, module/string layouts, SLDs, GA drawings, cable sizing, inverter configuration, and system designs.
- Design and coordinate Module Mounting Structures (MMS), module arrangement, and foundation requirements.
- Perform shadow analysis, energy yield analysis, loss analysis, and system optimization using PVsyst and/or HelioScope.
- Design and optimize DC/AC systems, including string sizing, cable sizing, and inverter configuration.
- Prepare and review BOQ/MTO, cable schedules, equipment schedules, and design documents.
- Handle client technical discussions, design submissions, clarifications, and approval comments.
- Ensure designs comply with MNRE guidelines, IEC standards, DISCOM requirements,



and project specifications.
- Optimize designs for performance, reliability, constructability, and cost efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on solar PV design and relevant software.

Qualification & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–6+ years of relevant experience in Solar PV Design, preferably in EPC projects.
- Experience in Residential, C&I; Rooftop, and Ground-Mounted Solar PV Design.
- Knowledge of MMS/structural coordination and solar plant layouts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, HelioScope, and SketchUp.
- Solid knowledge of DC/AC design, SLDs, string configuration, cable sizing, and inverter selection.
- Strong design review, problem-solving, and client communication skills.
- Ability to independently handle multiple solar PV design projects.
