The Asia Group is now accepting applications for a Sr. Associate, Technology Policy to join our South Asia practice in New Delhi. This position will support the South Asia practice based across Recent Delhi, Mumbai, and Washington D.C. on The Asia Group’s portfolio of engagements for the AI Impact Summit scheduled in February in New Delhi.

Sr. Associate will work closely with the technology team and play key roles in supporting the firm’s research, analysis, and engagement with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have substantive experience and expertise in the Indian technology and AI policy landscape.

In addition, a successful candidate will have a strong command of the political, regulatory, and macroeconomic environments in India, demonstrating the ability to distill these trends into actionable insights. - Support the South Asia team in servicing global clients through execution of high-value added deliverables with a focus on emerging technologies, including AI, fintech, gaming, electronics, digital public infrastructure, and digital platforms
- Conduct meticulous industry and political research and analysis, and business due diligence
- Lead the drafting of high-quality executive memos, reports, briefing materials, and other written products for external (client) and internal (TAG) consumers, often under short deadlines
- Actively participate in regular client engagements, including briefing sessions and workshops, alongside senior staff
- Track market, policy, and industry developments impacting client equities, particularly in the AI and broader tech policy landscape
- Represent the firm at relevant industry/policy events and forums by actively projecting the firm's expertise, relationships, and market leadership.
- Provide logistical and event support for client engagements in New Delhi
- Support stakeholder engagement and facilitate the management of executive visits
- Conduct policy research, develop advocacy strategies, create knowledge products, while supporting the senior team in managing diverse client engagements
- Build and nurture networks with policy stakeholders, key opinion leaders, civil society and media experts.
- Develop research and thought leadership products for TAG AI, showcasing insights and expertise on emerging trends and policy issues





- Master’s degree or equivalent academic/practice experience related to India/South Asia economic, industry, and policy issues
- 3-6 years of prior work experience, preferably including in a client-servicing industry or government experience
- Strong understanding of and interest in emerging technologies, including AI, fintech, and digital policy strategies
- Outstanding research, analytical, and writing skills
- Strong grasp of business strategy fundamentals, particularly in emerging markets
- Strong attention to detail and excels under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications – demonstrated fluency in Microsoft Excel and other statistical languages
- Sector-specific expertise in AI, tech and/or fintech in India
- Experience in data visualization and design a plus
- Genuine desire to learn, including through feedback from senior team members and peers
- Team player with eagerness for professional development
- Demonstrated familiarity with Indian market dynamics and/or private sector experience, including industry, consulting, or other sectors

Familiarity with generative AI platforms or a growth mindset toward emerging technologies is a plus.

Candidates must be eligible to work in India and are expected to work in-person at the TAG New Delhi office five days per week.
