Job Purpose :

- Looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to own GST and TDS compliance, inventory valuation and monthly MIS for a listed manufacturing company. The role needs sound technical knowledge, close attention to reconciliations, and the ability to work with plant, stores, purchase and sales teams. You will also support statutory, internal, tax and cost audits.

Job Profile:

GST Compliance:

- Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C on time, including IFF/QRMP where applicable.
- Reconcile ITC month by month between the purchase register, GSTR-2B and the Invoice Management System (IMS). Follow up with vendors on mismatches.
- Apply the ITC rules correctly
- Handle reverse charge (RCM), import IGST, export.




- Support departmental audits and assessments.

TDS / TCS Compliance:

- Deduct TDS/TCS correctly on vendor payments, contractors, professional fees, rent, purchase of goods and salaries.
- Deposit tax on time and file quarterly returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ).
- Issue Form 16/16A, reconcile with Form 26AS/AIS, and resolve defaults on the TRACES portal.
- Handle lower/nil deduction certificates, DTAA and Form 15CA/CB for foreign remittances, and correction returns.

Inventory & Stock Valuation:

- Value raw materials, packing materials, WIP, finished goods, by-products and stores & spares under Ind AS 2 (weighted average or FIFO, as per company policy).
- Prepare month-end and year-end inventory schedules and apply NRV testing.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete stock and make provisions for it.
- Reconcile book stock with physical stock, analyse variances, and coordinate periodic physical verification.
- Compute product-wise cost of production, yields, and material consumption vs. standard.

MIS & Reporting:

- Prepare the monthly MIS pack: P&L;, product/plant-wise profitability, contribution analysis, budget vs. actual, and variance commentary.
- Track working capital: receivables and payables ageing, inventory days, cash flow.
- Monitor power, fuel, utility and conversion costs, with trend analysis.

General Accounting & Audit Support:

- Handle month-end and year-end closing: accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, fixed asset capitalisation and depreciation.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, tax, GST and cost auditors, and provide audit data.
- Support tax audit (Form 3CD) data and income-tax assessments.




- Prepare and provide accurate financial and business information to banks, financial institutions, and credit rating agencies as required

Desired Profile :

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA or Inter CA (Both Groups Cleared preferred.) with 4 to 8 years experience in accounts & taxation. At least 2 to 3 years experience in manufacturing company preferred.
- Experienced in Pharma / API / Bulk Drugs / Chemicals experience would be added advantage.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, ITC reconciliation, GSTR-2B, IMS, RCM, import IGST and export transactions.
- Good working knowledge of TDS / TCS provisions, quarterly returns, Form 16/16A, TRACES, correction returns and foreign remittances.
- Hands-on experience in inventory accounting and valuation, including RM, PM, WIP, finished goods, stores & spares and NRV assessment.
- Strong reconciliation skills covering GST, vendor accounts, inventory, tax ledgers and financial records.
- Experience in preparing monthly MIS, P&L;, profitability analysis, budget vs. actual and variance reports.
- Good understanding of month-end/year-end closing, provisions, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation.
- Experience in coordinating and providing data for statutory, internal, GST, tax and cost audits.
- Ability to prepare accurate financial information and reports for management, banks, financial institutions and credit rating agencies.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP Business One experience preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills with plant, purchase, stores and sales teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines and keep accurate compliance calendars.
