About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Oracle Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in core Oracle and PL/SQL, complemented by solid Unix skills.

This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing database objects and queries to ensure high performance and reliability. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions. Additionally, familiarity with ETL processes, migration activities, and scripting will be advantageous.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.




- 3-7 years of relevant experience in Oracle database development and administration.
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL programming and SQL query optimization.
- Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing, joins, and exception handling.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Experience with database objects such as stored procedures, packages, functions, views, and cursors.
- Knowledge of ETL tools and migration activities is desirable.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools like Autosys and Control-M is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile methodology is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain database objects including stored procedures, functions, packages, views, and cursors.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
- Implement and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into optimized database solutions.
- Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and implement improvements.
- Assist in database migration activities and ETL processes to support business growth and system upgrades.




- Develop and maintain Unix scripts to automate routine tasks and enhance system integration.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
- Support production environments by troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
- Contribute to Agile development cycles, providing technical expertise and timely delivery of tasks.
