Role & responsibilities

- Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of all Electrical, Instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, and Automation systems during shift operations
- Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability of critical electrical equipment such as transformers, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, motors, switchgears, and field instruments
- Execute Preventive, Predictive, Corrective, and Breakdown Maintenance activities to minimize plant downtime and maximize equipment availability
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, statutory requirements, and safety standards related to electrical and automation systems




- Lead shift maintenance activities and coordinate with operations teams to achieve production targets with minimum disruptions

Preferred candidate profile

- 5-10 years of experience in Sponge Iron Plant or a related field (iron making).
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.).
- Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, electrical maintenance, power distribution, plant operations, preventive and predictive maintenance, and electrical safety practices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment such as HT/LT panels, motors, transformers, VFDs, MCCs, switchgear, PLC systems, and other plant electrical equipment.
