About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate will approach quality as an engineering discipline, going beyond traditional testing to design and develop systems that facilitate scalable, reliable, and efficient testing processes. This role involves building tools, frameworks, and supporting services that enhance the validation of software products across various layers of the engineering ecosystem.

The Senior SDET will work closely with multiple teams to validate APIs, services, data flows, and user journeys. You will be instrumental in creating internal platforms, automation utilities, test harnesses, and diagnostic systems. The role also involves leveraging emerging technologies such as AI-assisted testing and intelligent quality tooling to improve testing efficiency and insights.

You will contribute to building observability and analytics capabilities, providing actionable insights into system quality, stability, and risk.

This position is well suited for engineers who enjoy building internal platforms, automation utilities, and data tooling, with a passion for continuous improvement in testing methodologies and quality engineering practices. The Senior SDET will report to the Global Solution Architect and will play a critical role in embedding quality into our development pipelines and workflows.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering and test automation, with at least 8+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C# is essential. Experience designing maintainable,



production-quality code for automation, tooling, or internal engineering platforms is required.

Candidates should have extensive experience in building automated validation solutions for APIs, service layers, and user interfaces using modern automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium/WebDriverIO, Cypress, Pytest, JUnit, or NUnit. Familiarity with engineering tooling such as test harnesses, mock/stub services, simulation tools, test data generators, and environment validation utilities is highly desirable.

Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins is necessary. Candidates should also have a good understanding of containerized environments such as Docker, cloud platforms, and distributed systems. Knowledge of working with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, along with diagnostic and log analysis skills, is important.

NICE to HAVE skills include experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, or k6, observability platforms like Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK stack, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Familiarity with AI-assisted development or testing approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop engineering solutions that support quality at scale, including test harnesses, stubs, mocks, simulation frameworks, and internal tooling to enable early validation by developers. Create reusable components that facilitate testing services and integrations without relying on full workplace setups.

Build and maintain robust test infrastructure and tooling for automation frameworks spanning UI, API, and integration testing. Develop test data generation utilities, environment validation tools, diagnostics, and debugging utilities. Orchestrate test execution within CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration of automated validation processes.





Lead the design and implementation of AI-assisted quality engineering solutions, such as AI-driven test generation, automated defect analysis, intelligent test maintenance, and anomaly detection. Contribute to the development of AI-enabled tooling that enhances testing efficiency and provides deeper insights into product quality.

Develop reporting and analytics capabilities to monitor system quality, including dashboards for test execution, quality metrics, trend analysis, and defect tracking. Integrate these insights with observability platforms to provide comprehensive visibility into system stability and risk areas.

Work across the full system stack to validate behaviors involving APIs, distributed systems, microservices, data pipelines, and integration points. Investigate failures by analyzing logs, metrics, traces, and system behavior, identifying root causes rather than just defects.

Embed automated validation processes into development workflows by integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, pull request validations, environment readiness checks, and deployment verification. Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to ensure quality checks are scalable, reliable, and automated.
