nCover breaking news, civic issues, politics, crime, events, culture, trends and important happenings across the city.

nGo on ground, identify relevant stories and create social-first news content.

nShoot videos/Reels using a mobile phone and create engaging visual content.

nBe comfortable on camera and present/anchor stories, Reels and on-ground updates when required.

nConvert news stories into engaging Reels, short videos, carousels, posts and other social formats.

nCreate robust hooks, headlines, captions and storytelling formats suited for Instagram and Facebook.

nTrack local trends, viral conversations and emerging city stories.

nBuild and maintain a strong network of local sources and contacts.

nCoordinate with the editorial and social media teams.

nRepurpose content across different social platforms.

nUnderstand what is trending and find creative ways to make local news interesting, relatable and shareable.

nEnsure factual accuracy, credibility and responsible reporting.

nWho Were Looking For

n2 to 5 years of experience in journalism,



digital media, video journalism, social media content or content creation.

nSomeone who is equally comfortable reporting a story and creating content around it.

nCamera-friendly and confident on camera, with the ability to speak naturally and engage an audience.

nComfortable being the face/voice of the content and presenting news, Reels and on-ground stories.

nStrong understanding of the local city, its people, issues, trends and culture.

nStrong Marathi and English communication and content-writing skills.

nComfortable going on ground and covering stories independently.

nStrong understanding of Instagram Reels, short-form video, trends, hooks and social storytelling.

nBasic video shooting/editing skills using mobile or editing tools.

nCanva, CapCut or other editing/AI content tools will be an advantage.

nStrong news sense combined with a creator mindset.

nAbility to work quickly in a breaking-news environment.

nExcellent if:

nAlready run their own Instagram, YouTube, news/information page or regularly create content.

nHave a portfolio of Reels, on-ground videos, news explainers or city-focused content.

nUnderstand how to make a story engaging within the first few seconds.

nCan identify a story before it becomes a story on social media.

nAre comfortable speaking to the camera and creating content in their own style.

nAre naturally curious, plugged into trends and always aware of whats happening right now.
