Key Responsibilities

- Administer Snowflake environments including account configuration, warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, and users.
- Implement and manage role-based access control (RBAC), security policies, and governance standards.
- Monitor platform health, query performance, and warehouse utilization; troubleshoot incidents and drive root-cause resolution.
- Manage resource provisioning, scaling strategies, and cost optimization using usage metrics and best practices.
- Configure and maintain data sharing, replication, and environment promotions aligned to operational needs.
- Establish operational runbooks, alerting, and support processes to meet reliability and availability expectations.
- Partner with engineering teams to review workloads, improve performance, and enforce platform standards.
- Drive platform hygiene activities such as auditing, access reviews, and lifecycle management of objects and users.

Minimum

Qualifications:

- 6–8 years of overall experience with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake administration.




- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Computer Applications/Science (BTECH, MTECH, MCA, MSC).
- Strong understanding of Snowflake security, RBAC, object privileges, and governance practices.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in Snowflake environments.
- Proven ability to manage operational tasks, incident handling, and stakeholder communication effectively.

Preferred

Qualifications:

- Experience leading administration practices across multiple environments (dev/test/prod) with explicit operational controls.
- Strong knowledge of cost management techniques such as warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/auto-resume, and usage analysis.
- Experience implementing auditing, access certification, and compliance-aligned controls for data platforms.
- Ability to create standards, documentation, and automation-friendly processes to improve admin efficiency.
- Demonstrated collaboration with data engineering teams to align platform administration with delivery timelines and SLAs.
