Key Responsibilities
- Administer Snowflake environments including users, roles, RBAC, warehouses, databases, schemas, and resource monitors.
- Monitor platform health, query performance, and warehouse utilization; identify bottlenecks and recommend tuning actions.
- Manage access controls, data security policies, and auditing to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Implement and maintain operational processes for incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Support onboarding of new data workloads and teams by configuring compute, storage, and permissions appropriately.
- Optimize cost and performance through warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/auto-resume strategies, and usage reporting.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, runbooks, operational procedures, and platform standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to ensure reliable data availability and smooth release/change management.

Minimum

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.




- 3–5 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in Snowflake Administration and platform operations.
- Solid understanding of Snowflake security concepts (RBAC), warehouse management, and account-level administration.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting Snowflake performance and operational issues in production environments.
- Ability to create clear operational documentation and follow structured support processes.

Preferred

Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform features such as resource monitors, data sharing, and usage analytics.
- Experience implementing governance practices including auditing, access reviews, and least-privilege security models.
- Exposure to automation for administrative tasks (e.g., scripting, scheduling, and repeatable operational workflows).
- Familiarity with performance tuning patterns such as clustering considerations, query optimization, and workload isolation strategies.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, reduce incidents, and enhance platform standards.

Good to have skills: SQL, Python scripting, AWS/Azure/GCP fundamentals, CI/CD basics, Monitoring & alerting tools (e.g., Splunk/Datadog/CloudWatch).
