About the Role

VB Developers is looking for an experienced and responsible Civil Engineer to manage day-to-day construction activities at our project site. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, quality control, manpower coordination, material management, measurements, and ensuring work is completed as per drawings, specifications, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution

* Supervise daily civil construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor RCC, brickwork, blockwork, plastering, flooring, waterproofing and other civil works.
- Coordinate and supervise finishing works.
- Ensure proper sequence of construction activities.

1. Quality Control

* Maintain required quality standards throughout construction.
- Check line, level, alignment and dimensions of construction work.
- Inspect RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry and plastering work.
- Ensure proper curing and construction practices.
- Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.
- Coordinate with consultants/architects for technical issues.

1. Site Supervision & Manpower

* Supervise labour, masons, carpenters, bar benders and subcontractors.
- Allocate daily work to workers and contractors.
- Monitor manpower productivity.
- Maintain daily labour attendance and work records.
- Ensure discipline and safety at the site.

1. Material Management

* Prepare material requirements based on construction progress.




- Coordinate with the purchase/store team for timely material availability.
- Check quantity and quality of materials received at site.
- Maintain proper material consumption records.
- Minimize material wastage.

1. Measurement & Billing

* Take measurements of completed work.
- Verify contractor/subcontractor bills.
- Prepare quantity statements and work measurement sheets.
- Maintain records of executed quantities.
- Check work against BOQ and approved specifications.

1. Project Planning & Progress

* Prepare daily and weekly work plans.
- Track construction progress against the project schedule.
- Report delays and site issues to management.
- Coordinate different agencies to avoid work interruptions.
- Ensure work is completed within planned timelines.

1. Drawing & Technical Coordination

* Read and understand structural, architectural and service drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants and other technical teams.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
- Obtain necessary clarification before executing critical work.
- Maintain updated drawings at the site.

1. Safety & Housekeeping

* Ensure workers follow site safety practices.
- Monitor use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Maintain proper housekeeping at the site.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.




- Ensure safe storage of construction materials.

1. Documentation & Reporting

* Prepare daily site progress reports.
- Maintain site registers and work records.
- Record material receipts and consumption.
- Maintain concrete/RCC, reinforcement and other quality records.
- Submit regular progress updates to management.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in building construction.
- Strong knowledge of RCC and residential/commercial building construction.
- Good understanding of construction drawings and measurements.
- Experience in handling labour and subcontractors.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently manage day-to-day site activities.
- Willingness to work at project sites and meet construction deadlines.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD and basic construction software will be an advantage.

Salary ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience, technical knowledge and overall suitability.

What We Expect The Civil Engineer should take ownership of the site, maintain construction quality, control wastage, coordinate manpower and contractors, and ensure that the assigned work is completed safely, correctly and on time.
