Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of sheet metal components, welded assemblies, and fabricated products. The candidate will be responsible for inspection activities, quality documentation, process improvement,

and ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of sheet metal parts and assemblies.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications as per engineering drawings.
- Inspect fabricated and welded components for quality compliance.
- Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and customer documentation.
- Handle customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions

(CAPA).
- Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with production and design teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor rejection rates and drive continuous improvement activities.
- Support internal and external quality audits.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Experience in using measuring instruments such as:

o Vernier Caliper o Micrometer o Height Gauge o Bore Gauge o Measuring Tape o Weld Inspection Gauges




- Knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, 5 Why Analysis, CAPA, and Root Cause

Analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, machine guarding, industrial enclosures,

welded structures, or manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to customer quality requirements and audit processes.
