About the Company
Metal Power Analytical operates in the analytical-instrumentation industry, helping customers maintain reliable measurement, testing, and laboratory operations through instruments, accessories, consumables, and service support. The company’s service organization connects technical expertise with customer outcomes by ensuring equipment is installed correctly, commissioned effectively, maintained consistently, and restored quickly when issues occur. Its customer-facing teams work across installation, warranty, Annual Maintenance Contract, breakdown support, accessories, spares, and consumables.
This role contributes directly to the company’s reputation by converting service interactions into dependable instrument performance and high customer satisfaction. It also supports commercial growth by identifying opportunities for accessories, consumables, service contracts, and new customer references. The organization values proactive coordination, accurate documentation, disciplined turnaround-time management, and ownership of issues from first response through resolution.
As part of the Service Department, you will represent Metal Power Analytical at customer sites and strengthen long-term customer relationships through responsive, technically sound service delivery.
About the Role
As a Service Engineer, you will own the technical and customer outcome for analytical instruments and accessories across assigned customer sites in Raipur, Rajkot, or Kolkata. Reporting to the Area Service Manager, you will install, commission, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment while protecting customer uptime and satisfaction. You will manage warranty, AMC, and breakdown visits against established turnaround times, coordinating with customers and internal support teams until each issue is resolved.
The role also carries commercial responsibility: identify suitable opportunities for accessories, consumables, spares, and service contracts, support achievement of service revenue targets, and collect new customer references.
Accurate
Salesforce visit records, timely DAR submission, SAP documentation, and MIS reporting will provide the operating visibility needed to improve service performance and strengthen customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own installation and commissioning of analytical instruments and accessories at customer sites, using approved setup, calibration, and verification procedures to deliver functional equipment ready for reliable customer use.
- Execute warranty and Annual Maintenance Contract visits against schedules and service commitments, ensuring preventive and corrective work protects instrument availability, customer confidence, and contractual performance.
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns at customer locations, applying structured troubleshooting and technical judgment to restore equipment quickly and achieve agreed turnaround times with minimal operational disruption.
- Coordinate proactively with customers, the Area Service Manager, and internal support teams, maintaining clear updates and driving each issue through timely resolution without avoidable handoff delays.
- Record every service activity accurately in SAP and Salesforce, complete DAR reports after each visit, and maintain MIS inputs that give management dependable visibility into field performance.
- Identify and convert relevant opportunities for accessories, consumables, spares, AMC, ISP, and CRM services, contributing to service revenue targets while aligning recommendations with customer requirements.
- Collect new customer references during service engagements and share qualified business opportunities internally, expanding the company’s reach through trusted customer relationships and field-based market intelligence.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong technical capability in installing, commissioning, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting analytical instruments, accessories, and related systems in customer-site environments.
- Working knowledge of service workflows, warranty and AMC execution, breakdown response, turnaround-time management, and structured root-cause problem-solving for minimizing equipment downtime.
- Proficiency in Salesforce service documentation, SAP transactions, DAR completion, and MIS reporting, with the discipline to maintain accurate records after every customer visit.
- Customer-facing communication and coordination skills, enabling clear updates, expectation management, issue ownership, and effective collaboration with internal technical and commercial teams.
- Commercial awareness to identify suitable opportunities for accessories, consumables, spares, AMC, ISP, and CRM services while protecting customer trust and service quality.
Additional Plus
- Experience servicing analytical, laboratory, scientific, testing, or process instruments will help you understand customer operating environments and shorten the path from diagnosis to dependable resolution.
- Exposure to service-led sales, contract renewals, spare-parts recommendations, or reference generation will strengthen your ability to connect technical support with sustainable revenue growth.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites across assigned territories, manage changing priorities, and remain composed during urgent breakdown situations will support consistent field performance.
What You'll Bring
- You bring hands-on engineering experience and the confidence to work directly at customer sites, where installation quality, troubleshooting judgment,
and professional conduct determine equipment uptime and customer trust.
- You take ownership beyond the immediate technical fix. You follow through with customers and internal teams, communicate progress early, and ensure every open issue reaches a documented, durable resolution.
- You work with process discipline, using Salesforce, SAP, DAR reports, and MIS to make field activity visible, auditable, and actionable for the wider service organization.
- You combine customer empathy with commercial awareness, recognizing when accessories, consumables, spares, or service contracts genuinely address customer needs and can create additional value.
- You are proactive, organized, and comfortable managing warranty, AMC, and breakdown commitments against defined TAT expectations, while escalating risks before they affect customer operations.
- You understand that CSAT is earned through the complete service experience: technical accuracy, response speed, clear communication, dependable follow-up, and the customer’s confidence that Metal Power Analytical will stand behind its instruments.
- You are willing to travel, learn new analytical technologies, collaborate with specialists, and represent the Service Department responsibly across Raipur, Rajkot, Kolkata, and surrounding customer locations.
Why Join Us In this role, your work directly connects engineering quality with customer business continuity. Every successful installation, faster breakdown recovery, and well-managed AMC visit helps customers protect their operations while strengthening Metal Power Analytical’s service reputation. You will gain broad exposure across analytical instruments, accessories, consumables, spares, and service contracts rather than being limited to a solo maintenance activity. This creates an opportunity to deepen technical expertise while developing customer-management and commercial skills.
The role gives you visible ownership of outcomes, supported by the Area Service Manager and internal teams. Your field insights can improve service processes, identify new business opportunities, and influence how the organization delivers customer support.
By combining structured systems, customer-facing responsibility, and continuous problem-solving, you can build a career at the intersection of engineering, service operations, and revenue generation.
