Job Title: Service / Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a technically proficient and customer-oriented Service / Project Engineer to handle field service, installation, commissioning, project execution, and technical support activities for electronic governing and control systems. The role involves working with digital control systems, actuators, governors, and related industrial control equipment, attending customer service requirements at short notice, and executing projects across India. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of control and automation systems, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and be willing to travel extensively to customer locations across India.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Attend field service calls at customer sites for electronic governing and control systems, including digital controls, actuators, and related equipment.
2. Attend service calls, breakdowns, troubleshooting requirements, and commissioning assignments at short notice and provide timely technical support to customers.
3. Travel extensively to customer locations across India for service, installation, and commissioning, troubleshooting, and project-related activities.
4. Carry out the installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of governing systems, including actuators, digital controllers, electronic governors, and associated control systems.
5. Diagnose technical issues related to control systems, actuators, governing systems, and associated electrical/electronic equipment and provide effective solutions.
6. Prepare upgrade and modernization proposals for existing governing and control systems based on customer requirements.
7. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and other required documentation for system upgrades and project proposals.
8. Prepare or modify electrical and control system drawings using AutoCAD. Knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical drawing standards will be an added advantage.
9. Plan and coordinate the execution of project orders, including resource planning, material requirements, site activities, and project schedules.
10. Coordinate with internal Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Operations,



and Service teams to ensure the timely and successful execution of projects.
11. Identify opportunities for service, upgrade, modernization, and project orders through regular customer interactions and site visits.
12. Meet customers, understand their technical requirements, conduct technical discussions, generate enquiries, and support the business team in converting opportunities into project orders.
13. Prepare technical inputs, proposals, scope of work, and other documentation required for project and upgrade opportunities.
14. Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide timely technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
15. Prepare and submit service reports, commissioning reports, site visit reports, project status updates, and other technical documentation as required.
16. Provide technical training, knowledge sharing, and support to team members and actively contribute to the development of the team's technical capabilities.
17. Work collaboratively with the team and share technical knowledge, field experience, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
18. Ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures, company policies, and customer site requirements while carrying out field and project activities.
19. Continuously develop knowledge of electronic governing systems, digital controls, actuators, industrial automation, control systems, and related technologies.
20. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager or senior management from time to time.

Required Skills
1. Strong technical knowledge of electronic governing systems, digital controls, actuators, governors, and industrial control systems.
2.



Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues at customer sites.
3. Strong understanding of electrical and electronic control systems, instrumentation, automation, and industrial equipment.
4. Ability to understand technical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and system documentation.
5. Knowledge of AutoCAD for preparing or modifying electrical and control system drawings will be an added advantage.
6. Good project planning, coordination, execution, and time-management skills.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-handling skills.
8. Ability to conduct technical discussions with customers and understand their requirements.
9. Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a hands-on approach to field service and commissioning activities.
10. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
11. Willingness to travel extensively across India and attend customer sites at short notice whenever required.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in field service, commissioning, project execution, industrial automation, control systems, electrical/electronic equipment, or related industries.
3. Hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, or servicing of industrial control systems and equipment will be preferred.
4. Experience in electronic governors, actuators, digital control systems, PLC, instrumentation, automation, or industrial control systems will be an added advantage.
5. Candidates with experience in power plants, process industries, manufacturing industries, industrial automation, or engineering products will be preferred.
6. Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations across India and work at project/service sites as required.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
