Role Description The Senior Solar Design Engineer – C&I; & BESS is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. The role involves leading detailed engineering and design for C&I; rooftop and ground-mount PV plants, including DC string layouts, inverter and transformer sizing, cable engineering, and protection schemes. The engineer will prepare single-line diagrams, system schematics, and construction drawings, and coordinate with EPC, procurement, and site teams to ensure technically sound and buildable designs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting feasibility and yield assessments, performing PV and BESS sizing studies,



evaluating grid interconnection requirements, and optimizing plant performance and reliability. The role also includes technical review of vendor proposals, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, supporting SCADA and monitoring integration, and mentoring junior engineers on best practices in solar and BESS design.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the Solar Industry and Solar Power, including C&I;, utility-scale, and distributed generation applications.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Solar Systems and PV Design, including rooftop and ground-mount configurations, layout optimization, and energy yield calculations.
- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Design skills, covering LV/MV systems, protection coordination, cable sizing, earthing, and compliance with relevant IEC/IS standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with PV design and electrical engineering software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, ETAP or similar) and MS Office tools.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field, with substantial experience in C&I; solar EPC design.
- Additional beneficial attributes include familiarity with BESS design and integration, grid interconnection regulations and utility processes, robust analytical and documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and on-site teams.
