Senior Software Engineer

Own major backend/platform capabilities and turn product requirements into reliable production systems.

Responsibilities

- Own one or more major platform services or subsystems.
- Design and implement APIs, workflows, data services, and integrations.
- Build resilient asynchronous processing.
- Integrate deterministic platform logic with AI/agent workflows.
- Implement retries, timeouts, idempotency, error handling, and recovery.
- Improve observability, performance, and maintainability.
- Review code and mentor other engineers.
- Diagnose cross-service production issues.

Mandatory technical skills and experience

- 6+ years professional software engineering.
- Solid backend engineering in Python/Java.
- Hands-on experience with:
- distributed systems




- REST and/or gRPC APIs
- asynchronous processing
- messaging or event-driven systems
- SQL and data modeling
- concurrency
- authentication and authorization

- Docker
- Kubernetes
- automated testing
- logs, metrics and distributed tracing
- Experience building robust third-party integrations.
- Experience owning production services end to end.
- Has personally investigated production incidents.

Preferred

- Kubernetes APIs/controllers.
- Graph databases.
- LLM or agent integration.
- Infrastructure automation.
