Job DescriptionRole Overview

NWe are looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead the maintenance and production support of enterprise-grade applications having multiple releases and versions of product in production & UAT environments.

NThe role will focus on ensuring the stability, availability and reliability of production applications, with strong ownership of production incidents, application defects, bug fixes, hotfixes and releases.

NThe individual will work closely with Agile Managers, Engineering, Product, QA, Architecture and DevOps teams, Customers and L1 support teams to ensure that critical production issues are prioritized and resolved quickly while driving permanent corrective actions and continuous improvement.

NKey Responsibilities

nApplication Maintenance & Production Support

- Own end-to-end maintenance and production support for business-critical applications.
N
- Lead L2/L3 application support and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
N
- Prioritize production defects, bug fixes and hotfixes based on business/customer impact and severity.
N
- Manage P0/P1/P2 incidents and SLA's, ensuring rapid service restoration and effective stakeholder communication.
N
- Ensure critical production issues receive priority over planned enhancements where business impact requires immediate resolution.

nBug Fixes, Hotfixes & Problem Management

N

- Drive production defects from identification and diagnosis through development, testing, deployment and end-user validation.
N
- Coordinate with Engineering teams for code/configuration fixes and ensure defects are tracked through closure.
N
- Manage emergency/hotfixreleases outside regular release cycles when required.
N
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
N
- Identify recurring production issues and work with Engineering teams to improve application stability.
N

nRelease & Change Management

N

- Coordinate production releases, patches, hotfixes and emergency changes.
N
- Ensure appropriate testing,



validation, approvals and rollback plans are in place before production deployment.
N
- Work closely with QA and DevOps teams on CI/CD, deployment and release readiness.
N
- Monitor applications following production releases and ensure successful business/user validation.
N

nTechnical & Engineering Collaboration

N

- Work closely withDevelopers, Technical Leads and Architects supporting Java and Microservices-based enterprise applications.
N
- Should have good knowledge and understanding of using or impelling AI use case to be more effecting in day to day work and in reporting.
N
- Understand application dependencies, APIs, databases and integrations sufficiently to facilitate effective troubleshooting and challenge proposed resolutions where appropriate.

- Coordinate troubleshooting across application, database, infrastructure, third-party and downstream/upstream systems.
N
- Experience with Cloud, Microservices, APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, monitoring/observability and DevOps environments will be preferred.

nService & Operational Management

- Own and monitor SLAs, incident ageing, MTTR, application availability and support KPIs.
N
- Drive Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management processes.
N
- Ensure effective escalation management for business-critical production issues.
N
- Establish monitoring, alerting and operational practices to proactively identify potential production problems.
N
- Drive continuous service improvement and automation to reduce recurring incidents and manual effort.

nPeople & Stakeholder Leadership

- Lead, mentor and develop application support/maintenance engineering teams.
N




- Manage resource allocation and capacity across production support, bug fixes and planned maintenance activities.

- Work closely with Product, Agile Managers, Engineering, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders.
N
- Provide timely communication to senior stakeholders during critical incidents.
N
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.

nRequired Experience & Skills

N

n
- 15+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in Application Maintenance, Production Support or Technical Delivery.
N
- Strong experience managing business-critical production applications and L2/L3 support teams.
N
- Demonstrated experiencehandling P0/P1 incidents, production defects, bug fixes, hotfixes and emergency releases.
N
- Strong experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, RCA, Change Management and Release Management.
N
- Experience managing applications in a Java/Microservices environment.
N
- Understanding of Cloud,CI/CD, APIs, databases and up-to-date application architecture.
N
- Experience working closely with Development, QA, DevOps and Architecture teams.
N
- Strong understanding ofSLA/KPI management, MTTR, application availability and operational governance.
N
- Experience leading technical/support teams and managing senior stakeholders.
N
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery practices.

- Banking, Financial Services or FinTech experience.

- Experience supporting large-scale, high-availability transactional platforms.

- AWS/Azure/GCP exposure.

- Kubernetes/Docker and Microservices environments.

- Monitoring/observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, Kibana or equivalent.

- ITIL certification or strong ITIL process knowledge.

- Experience with ServiceNow/Jira or similar incident and defect-management platforms.
