Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai for a Senior Oracle DBA with 13+ years of experience, including expertise in RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning, and production support. The role involves managing and administering Oracle databases in a high-availability, mission-critical environment, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.

The Senior

Oracle DBA will monitor database performance, perform tuning, optimize queries, and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability. Daily responsibilities include configuring and maintaining RAC and Data Guard setups, implementing backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, and enforcing robust database security and compliance controls. The role also requires collaborating with application, infrastructure, and security teams,



supporting production releases, and contributing to architecture and process improvements, with openness to onsite assignments in the UAE or Europe as needed.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Oracle Database Administration and general Database Administration for large, mission-critical environments.

- Candidates should possess expertise in Replication technologies, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard, for high availability and disaster recovery.

- Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing performance issues, resolving production incidents, and supporting complex deployments.

- Candidates should possess solid Database Security skills, including access control, encryption, auditing, and adherence to regulatory and organizational policies.

- Candidates should have deep hands-on experience with RMAN, performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.

- Candidates should have a solid background in production support, including on-call readiness, incident management, and root cause analysis.

- Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, teamwork, documentation practices, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

- Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM) are highly beneficial.
