Key Responsibilities

NetSuite Architecture & Engineering

- Define and maintain NetSuite technical architecture, standards and engineering patterns.
- Design scalable solutions using native NetSuite functionality, SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, custom records, SuiteApps and integrations.
- Make practical decisions about configuration versus customization based on maintainability, performance and business value.
- Develop and review SuiteScript 2.x/2.1 solutions.
- Review existing customizations and reduce unnecessary complexity and technical debt.
- Lead technical design reviews and establish reusable development patterns.
- Identify where the platform should improve and drive those changes rather than only maintaining or extending existing patterns.

Performance & Reliability

- Diagnose NetSuite performance issues using appropriate platform and application-performance tools.
- Review scripts, workflows and integrations for execution-context, governance, concurrency and transaction-performance problems.
- Design systems capable of supporting high-volume ecommerce and seasonal peak periods.
- Establish monitoring, incident-response and root-cause-analysis practices.
- Improve operational resilience, deployment safety and recovery readiness.

Business Process Support

Partner closely with teams supporting:

- Order-to-cash
- Inventory and fulfillment
- Purchasing and supply chain
- Returns and refunds
- Finance and Accounting
- GL and transaction controls
- Tax and payment processes
- Sales Operations and B2B processes
- EDI and marketplace transactions

Integration Architecture

- Partner with the integration team on NetSuite integrations using Celigo, APIs, RESTlets, SuiteTalk and related technologies.




- Define ownership and system-of-record boundaries between NetSuite and connected systems.
- Support architecture across Shopify, marketplaces, EDI, 3PL/WMS, Finance and other enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot complex cross-system production issues when the root cause crosses platform boundaries.

Development & Release Management

- Establish industry best practices for source control, SDF, testing, code review and controlled environment promotion.
- Support structured QA, release documentation and production validation.
- Mentor engineers on safe development and deployment practices.
- Ensure changes are documented and supportable after release.

AI-Assisted Engineering

Use approved AI tools to accelerate engineering activities such as:

- SuiteScript development and review
- SuiteQL and reporting
- Technical investigation
- Test-case generation
- Code analysis
- Documentation
- Performance analysis

AI-generated work must be reviewed, validated and tested before release.
