Purpose of the Role To manage and update the Electronic Parts Catalogue (eCAT) for Vehicle Chassis (VC) and Fully Built Vehicles (VCBC) by ensuring accuracy in parts data, pricing, and modifications while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance customer experience and support business growth.

Job Responsibility

- Preparing online Electronic Parts Catalogue (eCAT) for any VC (Chassis) / VCBC (FBV) by comparing EBOM (PLM), MBOM (SAP) & IPMS (scanned aggregates) data.
- Action for pricing of all assembly & its child parts in eCAT.
- eCAT updation as per modifications done by ERC (Breakpoint / MBPA / ICM) and customer feedback on parts technical helpline.
- Follow up with ERC for releasing engine kit, cabin kit parts, any Assy. child parts if not released in system & follow up with ERC / QA / PL for any clarification on released MBPA / ICM to update eCAT.
- Follow up with major vendors (Cummins, ZF, BIL, Meritor, Wabco etc.) for child parts updation in eCAT.
- Assist parts technical helpline to resolve channel partners parts related queries within 24 Hrs.
- Assist buyers technical helpline to resolve buyers parts related queries & making parts relationship (MPN-IPN) in system between old/obsolete and recent/modified parts which helps to address VOR, convert BO on new/modified parts & action for black parts.
- Prepare ready reckoners for major product group for easy understanding of parts applicability to field team.
- Training to CVBU-INDIA & IB channel partners on parts technical aspects, TGPecats features, live demo etc. to enhance their capabilities to meet customer expectations & growth in TGP revenue.




- Other projects for eCAT digitization & enhancing tgpecats features to improve channel partner experience & finally customer satisfaction.

- Buyers Technical Helpline: Assistance in identifying alternative parts and managing obsolete/new part transitions.

- Major Vendors (Cummins, ZF, BIL, Meritor, Wabco, etc.): Ensuring updates of child parts in eCAT.
- Channel Partners & Distributors: Providing training and technical support for parts identification and eCAT utilization.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering

Experience

- 3-10 years in a similar role involving catalogue preparation, technical writing, and updates in an automobile company.

Skills & Competencies

- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of electronic parts cataloging, vehicle components, and assemblies.
- Data Management & Analysis: Ability to interpret and manage EBOM, MBOM, and scanned aggregate data.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong coordination skills to interact with internal teams and external vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve parts-related queries efficiently.
- Training & Communication: Capability to conduct technical training and assist channel partners.
