The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for leading the design development and execution of residential and commercial interior projects. You will manage design projects from concept development through final execution while coordinating with clients, design teams, project managers, vendors, and site teams to ensure that the final outcome meets the required design standards, functionality, quality, timelines, and client expectations.

• Project Management

- Lead the design process for multiple residential and commercial interior projects.
- Develop creative and functional interior design concepts based on client requirements, project scope, and budget.
- Manage projects from initial concept and space planning through design development and final execution.
- Review and approve design work prepared by junior and mid-level designers.
- Ensure all design deliverables are completed accurately and within project timelines.

Coordination &

• Presentation
- Understand client requirements, preferences, lifestyle needs, and project expectations.
- Conduct client meetings and design presentations to communicate concepts, layouts, materials, finishes, and overall design direction.
- Present mood boards, material selections, furniture layouts, 3D views, and design proposals to clients.
- Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design quality and project feasibility.
- Coordinate with clients throughout the design and execution process.

Design

Development &

• Documentation
- Prepare and review 2D layouts, furniture plans, ceiling plans, electrical layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.




- Develop detailed design concepts, material palettes, colour schemes, and furniture selections.
- Ensure drawings and design documentation are accurate, coordinated, and suitable for site execution.
- Review shop drawings and working drawings provided by vendors and execution teams.
- Coordinate design changes and revisions throughout the project.

4. Site Coordination & • Execution
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, contractors, vendors, and other execution teams.
- Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure that work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify design-related site issues and provide practical solutions.
- Ensure proper implementation of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and other design elements.
- Coordinate with execution teams to minimize design errors, rework, and deviations from approved designs.

5. Team Leadership & • Mentoring
- Guide, mentor, and support junior and mid-level interior designers.
- Allocate design responsibilities and monitor the progress of team members.
- Review design concepts, drawings, presentations, and other deliverables prepared by the design team.
- Maintain consistent design quality and standards across projects.




- Support the team in resolving technical and design-related challenges.

6. Materials, Vendors & • Cost Awareness
- Select and coordinate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, hardware, lighting, and other interior products.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding product specifications, samples, availability, and pricing.
- Ensure material selections remain aligned with the approved project budget and design concept.
- Review material samples and mock-ups before final approval.
- Coordinate with procurement and execution teams to ensure timely availability of approved materials.

Requirements & QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience
- 2–5 years of professional experience in interior design, with experience handling residential and/or commercial interior projects.
- Previous experience leading design projects and guiding junior designers is preferred.

Core Competencies
- Solid understanding of interior design principles, space planning, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and execution.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Enscape, Revit, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of working drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent design presentation and client communication skills.
- Strong project coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of interior execution, construction practices, and site coordination.
