Role Overview The Senior Interior Designer plays a pivotal role in the studio’s output, taking complete ownership of 4–5 projects simultaneously. Reporting directly to the Studio Head, you will be responsible for leading client discussions, developing spatial and modular design solutions, and driving projects independently from initial consultation through to final design sign-off.

The ideal candidate combines strong visual aesthetics with a practical understanding of factory manufacturing, millwork, and site execution. You will work closely with the Studio Head to ensure your design output meets Farwood’s quality standards, timelines, and commercial parameters.

Key Responsibilities

A. Project & Client Ownership

- Manage and deliver 4–5 concurrent design projects, taking full responsibility for design development and client relationships.
- Lead key design discussions, client pitches, dynamic presentations, material selections, and mood board reviews.
- Guide clients through feedback cycles to achieve timely design sign-offs and budget alignments.

B. Spatial Design & Detailing

- Develop detailed 2D architectural layouts, working drawings, false ceiling designs, and electrical layouts using AutoCAD.
- Create and review high-quality 3D visual renders in SketchUp / 3ds Max / Revit.
- Design modular units, wardrobes, custom millwork, and loose furniture while adhering to Farwood’s product catalog guidelines and hardware specifications (e.g., Blum, Hafele, Hettich).

C. Studio Support & Design-to-Execution Coordination

- Collaborate closely with the Studio Head to ensure design proposals match client expectations and project timelines.
- Coordinate directly with Estimation, Production,



and Site Execution teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
- Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) line items and production drawings to minimize on-site rework and execution errors.

D. Process & Quality Compliance

- Follow Farwood’s standardized design workflows, documentation protocols, and material libraries.
- Ensure complete and accurate drawing packages are prepared prior to factory handoff.

Key KPIs

- On-time design delivery across 4–5 concurrent projects.
- Design sign-off efficiency and high client satisfaction scores.
- Accuracy of technical drawing packages and minimal design rework at the production/site stage.
- Adherence to budget targets and BOQ accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: 4–7 years of hands-on interior design experience, preferably within a design-and-execution environment.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end residential or commercial projects, client-facing experience, and detailed technical documentation.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of furniture joinery, core substrates (Plywood, MDF, Particle Board), edge-banding, and finish materials (veneers, laminates, lacquers, acrylics).
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp / 3ds Max / Revit, along with rendering software (V-Ray, Corona, or similar).
- Soft Skills: Excellent client presentation abilities, spatial problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management skills.
