Job Summary Java Full Stack Architect / Lead Developer with AI

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop reusable libraries and application programming interfaces for use across the bank.
- Own end-to-end solution architecture, translating business and non-functional requirements into scalable application, integration, data, security and deployment designs.
- Produce and maintain architecture artefacts, including high-level and low-level designs, component and sequence diagrams, API contracts, data-flow diagrams, technology decisions and implementation roadmaps.
- Assess architecture trade-offs and ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, resilience, security, observability, performance, maintainability and cost efficiency.
- Design and develop software that is amenable for a greater automation of build, release testing and deployment process on all environments.
- Designing and developing high-volume, high-performance and high-availability applications using proven frameworks and technologies.
- Driving the adoption of software engineering principles, processes and best practices.
- Liaising with engineers, architects, business analysts and other key stakeholders to understand the objectives, requirements and options.
- Support the reuse and sharing of platform components and technologies within the software engineering teams.
- Deliver software components to enable the delivery of platforms, applications and services.
- Supporting and monitoring the technical progress against plans, while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance and providing updates to stakeholders.
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements and estimating work necessary to realise a story through the delivery lifecycle.




- Codes solution and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Write unit and integration tests, in automated test environments to ensure code quality.
- Use and configure AI coding assistants such as AWS Kiro and equivalent tools for requirements elaboration, architecture design, code generation, refactoring, debugging, documentation and test creation.
- Customize AI coding assistants using project context, steering or instruction files, reusable prompts, agent hooks, specifications and approved integrations so generated outputs follow enterprise architecture and coding standards.
- Apply AI-assisted Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) / AI-Driven Development Lifecycle practices across requirements, design, development, testing, code review, deployment and documentation, with appropriate human review and traceability.
- Ensure CI/CD best practices and automating tool stack.

Skill Requirements

- Skills:
- 13+ years of experience in Java full-stack engineering, including hands-on solution architecture and technical design using Microservices, ReactJS, TypeScript, AWS, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, PL/SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience in Java, SpringBoot, Cloud, REST API, API Gateway, Kafka, ReactJS, TypeScript and API development life cycle.




- Experience of building cloud native microservices and APIs through an agile delivery team.
- Proven ability to create end-to-end architecture and detailed designs, establish engineering standards and design patterns, evaluate technology options, and drive cross-platform design changes through implementation.
- Hands-on experience using and customizing AI code assistants such as AWS Kiro or comparable tools, including spec-driven development, context or steering configuration, reusable prompts, workflow automation and generated-code review.
- Working knowledge of AI-enabled PDLC / AI-DLC practices, prompt and context engineering, secure AI usage, intellectual-property protection, auditability, and validation of AI-generated code for quality, security and compliance.
- Experience of working with code repositories, bug tracking tools as well as experience of designing and implementing APIs.
- Experience of DevOps and Agile methodology and associated toolsets and methodologies.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD using Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance.
- Robust communication skills with the ability to proactively engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services is a plus.
- Prior experience in Transaction Monitoring and Case Management will be an advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Financial Crime case management tools and the ability to demonstrate architecture ownership alongside recent hands-on delivery using AI coding assistants.
