Role & responsibilities

- The Mechanical Design Engineer will apply their knowledge of mechanical engineering, materials, and medical device standards to design and develop medical devices including surgical camera systems, shaver systems, and disposable/reusable instruments. The Engineer will be responsible for product design, plastic part development, and supporting validation and manufacturing readiness. 2. Product Engineering

- Product Engineering
- Responsible for designing recent products and sub-systems (camera housings, shaver handpieces, blades components)
- Create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and design documentation
- Conduct design reviews and design iterations
- Responsible for planning Design Verification strategy
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T; application
- Perform DFMEA / Risk Analysis and mitigation planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration

3. Plastic & Molding Design (Critical Requirement)

- Design injection molded plastic components (enclosures, housings, internal mounts)
- Strong knowledge of:
- DFM for plastics Wall thickness, ribs, bosses, snap fits,

Draft angles, shrinkage, sink marks, warpage

Work closely with tool makers for mold development

Support tool design reviews and mold trials (T0, T1, T2)

Experience in IP-rated enclosure design (sealing, gasket design) preferred

4 Enclosure / Box Build (Camera Systems)
- Design electronic enclosures / box build assemblies (CCU, power units)
- Knowledge of:
- Sheet metal plastic hybrid designs




- Thermal management (ventilation, heat sinks)
- EMI/EMC considerations in mechanical design

Support assembly design and serviceability

5 Manufacturing & DFM
- Collaborate with production teams for design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Support process development and pilot builds
- Coordinate with vendors for:

Machining, Injection molding , Assembly
- Optimize design for cost, quality, and scalability

Testing & Validation Support

- Support design verification testing (DVT)
- Coordinate with internal/external labs for:

. Mechanical testing , Environmental testing, Analyze failures and implement design improvements

Mechanical Engineering

- Mechanical / Production Engineer
- Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks / Creo)
- Good knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance stack-up
- Strong knowledge of plastic design & molding
- Knowledge of medical devices preferred

Work Experience

410 years in product design / NPD

- Experience in plastic parts & mold development mandatory
- Experience in medical devices / electronics enclosure preferred
- Exposure to electro-mechanical systems preferred
