Electropath Services India Pvt. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimation & Tendering Engineer with 7–12 years of relevant experience in electrical estimation, tendering and costing, preferably from the Power / Electrical Infrastructure / EPC / Substation / Transmission / Solar industry.

The candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end estimation and tendering activities, including studying tender documents, preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, costing, vendor quotations, technical and commercial bid preparation, and final tender submission.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure projects, substations, HT/LT systems, transmission and distribution networks, solar projects and EPC costing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tender Analysis & Tendering

- Study and analyse tender documents, NIT, BOQ, drawings, specifications and scope of work.
- Review technical specifications, commercial conditions and contractual requirements.
- Identify important tender requirements, exclusions, assumptions and deviations.
- Prepare and manage complete tender documentation.
- Handle both online and offline tendering activities.
- Monitor tender submission deadlines and ensure timely submission.
- Work on government, PSU, utility, DISCOM and private EPC tenders.
- Analyse tender corrigendum, amendments and revised BOQs.

2. Estimation & Costing

- Prepare detailed project estimates for electrical infrastructure and EPC projects.
- Prepare item-wise BOQ, quantity take-off and cost sheets.
- Carry out detailed rate analysis for:
- Electrical materials
- Equipment
- Cables
- Structures
- Labour
- Installation and erection
- Testing & commissioning
- Civil works
- Transportation
- Subcontracting
- Tools, plant and machinery
- Prepare detailed material and labour cost estimates.
- Analyse project requirements and calculate overall project cost.
- Prepare competitive and commercially viable estimates.
- Maintain historical project cost data for future tender preparation.

3. Power & Electrical Infrastructure Projects The candidate should have practical understanding of estimation for projects such as:

- 33/11 kV substations
- HT/LT electrical infrastructure
- Power distribution networks
- Transmission lines
- Substation equipment
- Solar PV projects
- Electrical EPC projects
- Transformer installation
- HT/LT cables
- Cable trenching
- Earthing systems
- Switchyards
- Control rooms and associated civil works
- Street lighting / electrical infrastructure, where applicable
- Testing and commissioning activities

Experience in MSEDCL, DISCOM, RDSS, MSKVY or similar power-sector projects will be an advantage.

4. BOQ & Quantity Analysis

- Prepare and review BOQs based on drawings,



specifications and scope of work.
- Verify quantities and identify missing or incorrect items.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and tender documents.
- Prepare material requirement sheets.
- Compare tender BOQ with internal estimation.
- Identify major cost-impacting items and project-specific requirements.

5. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

- Obtain technical and commercial quotations from vendors, manufacturers and subcontractors.
- Prepare vendor comparison statements.
- Analyse vendor quotations against tender specifications.
- Verify technical compliance before considering commercial quotations.
- Maintain vendor rate databases.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Engineering teams for technical and commercial inputs.
- Negotiate or support negotiation of rates wherever required.
- Develop and maintain reliable vendor/subcontractor contacts.

6. Rate Analysis & Market Research

- Monitor current market prices for electrical equipment and materials.
- Maintain updated rates for major project materials.
- Compare historical rates with current market rates.
- Analyse material price fluctuations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Maintain a database of material, labour, transportation and subcontracting rates.

7. Technical & Commercial Bid Preparation

- Prepare technical and commercial bid documents.
- Prepare price schedules and commercial summaries.
- Review technical compliance against tender specifications.
- Prepare deviation, exclusion and assumption statements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Projects, Finance and Management teams.
- Support management in tender review and bid decision meetings.
- Prepare final estimation for management approval before submission.

8. Excel & MIS

Strong knowledge of Advanced MS Excel is required.

9. Project Handover & Post-Tender Support

- Coordinate with the Project and Engineering teams after order receipt.
- Explain estimation assumptions, BOQ quantities and costing to the execution team.
- Support post-award technical and commercial clarifications.
- Assist in identifying variations between tender estimates and actual project requirements.
- Support management in analysing project cost versus estimated cost.

10. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain proper records of submitted and ongoing tenders.
- Maintain tender status trackers.
- Maintain vendor quotation records.
- Maintain estimation and costing databases.
- Prepare management MIS related to tendering and estimation.
- Maintain historical tender data for future reference.
- Ensure confidentiality of commercial and project costing information.

Required Qualification





- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in Estimation / Tendering / Costing.
- Experience in Electrical Infrastructure / Power / EPC / Substation / Transmission / Distribution / Solar projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a qualified who can independently handle the complete tender → BOQ → quantity → rate analysis → vendor quotation → costing → technical/commercial bid → final submission cycle.

Candidates who have worked specifically in power infrastructure, substations, transmission, distribution or electrical EPC projects will be preferred over candidates whose experience is limited to general building or construction estimation.

Location & Working Requirement

Location: Pune – Office Based The position is primarily based at the Pune Head Office. Occasional travel to project sites, client meetings, vendor locations or project-related locations may be required depending on business requirements.
