Role Overview

As Senior Engineer – QA (Web Testing), you will own the test strategy, execution, and automation for E3 Electric.ai's web applications. You'll work closely with Frontend, Backend, and Product teams to catch issues early, build scalable automation frameworks, and ensure every release from customer portals to internal dashboards ships reliably and bug-free across browsers and devices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies for web application features
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing across app releases
- Build and maintain web automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress
- Conduct API testing (Postman/REST Assured) to validate backend integrations consumed by the web app
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and various screen sizes
- Validate authentication flows, role-based access control (RBAC), and session management across web portals
- Conduct database validation using SQL to verify backend data integrity and business rule enforcement
- Perform performance and load testing (JMeter or equivalent) to identify bottlenecks before production release
- Test responsive design and accessibility (WCAG) compliance across web interfaces
- Log, track, and manage defects through the full defect lifecycle using JIRA or equivalent tools
- Integrate automated web test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for continuous testing on every build
- Collaborate with developers to triage issues, perform root-cause analysis, and validate fixes
- Support UAT cycles, coordinating with stakeholders to validate business requirements before release




- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to web testing standards, best practices, and process improvements

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of QA experience, with 3+ years focused specifically on web application testing
- Strong hands-on experience with web automation tools Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python for automation scripting
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and backend/API validation
- Solid understanding of web application architecture, RESTful APIs, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)
- Working knowledge of SQL for database validation and backend data verification
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) and integrating automated tests into pipelines
- Strong defect management and test documentation skills using JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience testing enterprise dashboards, SaaS platforms, or data-heavy web applications
- Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter, or similar)
- Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1) and cross-browser compatibility tools (BrowserStack, LambdaTest)
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools (self-healing automation, AI-based test case generation)
- Experience with microservices testing and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes basics)
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
