Role Overview The SAP S/4HANA Senior Developer will design, develop, enhance, and support business-critical SAP S/4HANA solutions. The role requires strong hands-on capability across WRICEF objects, modern ABAP technologies, S/4HANA extensibility, integrations, workflows, and development quality governance. The resource will collaborate with Business Analysts, Functional Design Authorities, Product Owners, architects, suppliers, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable, clean-core aligned solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and support S/4HANA solutions across WRICEF object types, including enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
- Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, and translate them into system functionality and technical designs.
- Assess solution feasibility, risks, dependencies, opportunities, and overall business impact.
- Analyze processes, data flows, and technologies to understand current value, identify issues, and highlight opportunities for simplification and improvement.
- Create and maintain clear requirement, solution, configuration, and process documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements from business need through scope changes, testing, and final solution delivery.
- Collaborate with software suppliers, designers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand system limitations, contribute to system and database design, and ensure requirements and use cases are met.




- Define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing, defect resolution, interface monitoring, and error handling activities.
- Lead stakeholder management activities, facilitate large design sessions, and guide teams in completing business analysis and technical delivery tasks.
- Perform code quality reviews, ensure adherence to agreed development standards, and provide actionable feedback to team members.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and control assigned activities within agreed cost, time, and quality parameters.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience across most WRICEF object types and SAP S/4HANA implementation programs.
- Advanced hands-on experience in ABAP, OO-ABAP, ABAP 7.4 or above, Classical Enhancement Framework, and classical and flexible workflows.
- Strong experience in CDS, CDS extensions, annotations, associations, joins, and the debugging and performance optimization of CDS and Fiori applications.
- Hands-on experience in the RESTful ABAP Programming Model, including managed and unmanaged scenarios, behavior definitions, service definitions and bindings, service consumption models, and RAP extensibility.
- Valuable understanding of S/4HANA concepts such as RAP, CDS, BOPF, and object-oriented ABAP.
- Robust experience in next-generation S/4HANA extensibility, including custom fields, app adaptations, Custom Business Objects, and Central Business Configuration.
- Hands-on interface development using RFC, OData V2 and V4, IDoc, SOAP web services, and REST-based services.




- Understanding integration technologies, S/4HANA integration patterns, SAP whitelisted APIs, SAP API Hub, and relevant SAP BTP services.
- Experience in interface monitoring, error handling, and technical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of systems engineering concepts, data and process analysis, modeling, and product or solution design.
- Experience working in Agile projects with an understanding of Agile frameworks and related tools.

Professional Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of IT and SAP development experience relevant to the role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good design-thinking capability with a focus on lean and simplified processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse business and technical groups.
- High attention to detail with robust verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor developers, and provide constructive code-review feedback.
- Flexibility to work in shifts if required by the project.

Education and Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- SAP technical certification is preferred.
- Agile certification or formal Agile training is an advantage.
- Experience developing Adobe Forms with fragments is desirable.
