Pharma Intelligence and Clinical Data Curation

PROFILE SUMMARY:

We are looking for Senior Clinical Data Associates with experience in Cell Therapy to lead a team of life-science researchers who build and maintain a curated intelligence database of drugs, clinical trials, deals and companies for a leading global pharma intelligence platform. The database is organised into therapeutic-area, modality and target/pathway modules, and every record is manually curated to give pharma and biotech clients in-depth, decision-grade insight into their competitive landscape.

THE WORK - WHAT OUR TEAMS DO:

- This work sits within a secondary, desk-based clinical research function. We do not run trials, recruit patients, monitor sites or handle patient-level data. Instead, our teams systematically identify, appraise, extract and structure publicly available clinical and preclinical evidence into decision-grade datasets that global pharma and biotech companies use to benchmark their pipelines.
- Each module runs to a documented scope with formal inclusion and exclusion criteria. The work begins with SOP-driven surveillance of trial registries, scientific literature, conference disclosures, company pipelines, press releases and regulatory announcements. Each drug, trial, deal or company is then screened against the module's scope criteria. Our teams extract detailed trial-level data (design, arms, endpoints, eligibility, subgroup results, milestones) and drug-level data (developers, targets, mechanism of action, therapeutic class, formulation, delivery, CMC and preclinical pharmacology). Records are classified against proprietary ontologies and maintained under defined version-control and governance rules, with internal QA, error-trend analysis and ongoing scope calibration.
- Our portfolio spans 20+ modules including Oncology, Neuroscience, Cardiovascular-Renal-Metabolic, Immunology, Inflammation, Autoimmune, Cell Therapy, Cancer Vaccines, Oncolytic Viruses, Checkpoint, DNA Damage Response, Antibody Drug Conjugates, Bispecific, Targeted Protein Degradation, Microbiome, Cytokine, RNA, Gene Therapy etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead and manage researchers in order to curate accurate, timely, insightful and comprehensive data and intelligence
- Identify and analyse the most relevant information for the database and its users
- Daily target planning based on influx of data volume
- Regular quality checks as per SOPs on data extracted by researchers to achieve quality benchmarks
- Manage the daily activities aligned for teams productivity and quality
- Generate queries to clarify and improve the quality of the data




- Analyse and present the quality data for team and create improvement plan as required
- Independent work on specified projects as per SOP
- Review and implementation of SOPs along with continuous process improvement
- Cross-team collaboration
- Coordinate with Client on a regular basis to understand and meet the project deliverables
- Manage the activities required towards the launch of the database modules and further support the needs towards maintenance post launch.
- Tracker maintenance and update

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Education

PhD, M.Phil, Master of Science, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Technology or Pharm.D in a relevant discipline, such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Virology, Genetics, Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Neuropharmacology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Clinical Research, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Cancer Biology, Molecular Oncology, Stem Cell Technology, Regenerative Medicine or Bioinformatics.

- Not eligible: M.Pharm with a major in Pharmacognosy, or M.Sc. with a major in Botany, Zoology or Environmental Science.

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Therapeutic Area Expertise (mandatory)

Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of Cell Therapy, demonstrated through work experience, research or publications, with at least 1 of their 2+ years spent in that area.

Preferred Background

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Pharma / Clinical trials / Competitive Intelligence
- Clinical / Scientific / Bio / Database Curation
- Secondary research using trial registries, scientific literature and company disclosures
- Drug discovery / Preclinical studies / Drug development / Clinical research
- Systematic literature review / Medical writing / Scientific writing

Scientific & Technical Skills

- Broad scientific understanding of end-to-end drug development, from discovery and preclinical research through registration and lifecycle management, including mechanisms of action, targets and therapeutic classes.
- Ability to read, interpret and critically appraise scientific literature, clinical trial publications, registry records, conference abstracts, press releases,



company pipelines and regulatory disclosures, and to extract accurate, structured intelligence from them.
- Hands-on experience with clinical trial and/or preclinical study data, including key data points such as trial design, efficacy endpoints, PK/PD, safety and tolerability.
- Familiarity with global trial registries.
- Experience applying inclusion and exclusion criteria consistently, and working with ontology-, taxonomy- or controlled-vocabulary-driven data models.

- Strong planning, tracking and project management skills, with the ability to deliver under pressure against fixed turnaround commitments.
- Analytical thinking and strong QC skills, with the ability to spot quality trends and turn them into clear, solution-oriented reports.
- Foresight to anticipate issues, and the willingness to challenge the status quo and find better ways of working.

Tools & Technology

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with AI tools, ideally with hands-on project experience.

Communication & Personal Attributes

- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the confidence to present to international stakeholders.
- An inquisitive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Academic Distinctions & Added Advantages

- Qualified in CSIR-NET (JRF/LS), ICMR-JRF (DHR-BRET), DBT-JRF (BET), GATE (XL/BT) or GPAT, or a NIPER graduate.
- Research publications in peer-reviewed journals, particularly in your therapeutic area.
- Experience leading or supervising a team responsible for allocating work, reviewing quality, client coordination and training team members would be an asset.
- Certifications in Clinical Research or Clinical Data Management, or other recognised life-science certifications.
- Lean or Six Sigma exposure in a knowledge-process setting.
