Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage and streamline financial operations in an educational institution. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in accounting and compliance, and a solid understanding of financial processes in the education sector

.

This role involves managing budgets, fee accounting, financial reporting, audits, and compliance to ensure transparent and efficient financial management that supports the institution’s academic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee end-to-end financial operations , including accounting, reporting, and fund flow management.

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports .

- Manage budgeting , forecasting

, and variance analysis for academic and operational departments.

- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and educational board financial regulations .

- Supervise fee collection , student billing

, and reconciliation of receipts

.

- Coordinate with auditors (internal/external) and ensure timely completion of audits.

- Manage accounts payable (vendor payments) and accounts receivable (fee management)

processes.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.





- Implement and maintain internal financial controls , ensuring transparency and accountability.

- Assist management with financial planning , cost optimization

, and resource allocation strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience .

- 2-3 years of experience in finance and accounting , preferably in the education sector or service-based organizations.

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS) , GST

, TDS

, and compliance requirements

.

- Experience in budget management , audit coordination

, and financial reporting

.

Technical Skills

- Accounting Software: QuickBooks, SAP, Tally ERP, or equivalent.

- Financial Tools: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS Dashboards).

- Familiarity with student fee management systems or ERP used in education institutions
