Company Description Asaadharan Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit organization dedicated to transforming foundational education for children in Gujarat, with a strong focus on government schools in Surat. Since 2016, the foundation has worked to address systemic challenges such as teacher shortages and quality gaps, ensuring that every child has equitable access to holistic learning.

Through initiatives like the Asaadharan School Transformation Project, the foundation supports school staff, creates interactive classrooms, and nurtures student leadership, particularly for vulnerable children.

Foundation has impacted more than 4,000 children and supported over 4,700 teachers and principals, and also runs Sunday Pathshala to engage volunteers with children in urban slums through storytelling, games, and crafts. The organization is driven by a mission to build a movement of leaders who are committed to reshaping education, one child, one classroom, and one school at a time.

Role Description The School Lead is a full time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for overseeing the holistic transformation of partner government schools. This role involves collaborating closely with principals, teachers, and Edu-leaders to implement Asaadharan Foundation’s curriculum, strengthen classroom practices, and support school staff in delivering high-quality foundational education.

The School

Lead will coordinate daily school operations related to the project, monitor student learning and leadership initiatives,



and ensure that school transformation plans are executed effectively. They will collect and analyze data on student outcomes and teacher development, prepare regular progress reports, and communicate insights to the leadership team. The role also includes engaging with parents, community stakeholders, and volunteers, promoting a culture of inclusion, child safety, and continuous improvement across the school.

Qualifications

- Experience in school or program leadership, including managing education initiatives, coordinating teams, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship-building with school leaders, teachers, parents, and community members.
- Ability to design, implement, or support educational programs, including curriculum implementation, teacher upskilling, and student-centered activities.
- Competence in data collection, monitoring, and basic analysis to track student progress, teacher development, and project impact.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local languages (spoken and written), with the ability to facilitate meetings, trainings, and presentations.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity in education and working with children from vulnerable or under-resourced communities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field; a master’s degree or formal training in education is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Surat, maintain regular presence in schools, and adapt in dynamic, resource-constrained environments
