We are looking for an SAP S/4HANA Infrastructure Consultant to support the SAP S/4HANA store rollout for a leading retail operating company.

The consultant will work under the Infrastructure & Security Lead and will be responsible for supporting the compute, storage, operating system and cloud infrastructure layers underpinning the SAP landscape.

The role involves supporting SAP environments through build, testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare, ensuring that infrastructure is available, secure, backed up, properly sized and ready for each rollout wave.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Infrastructure & Environment Support

- Provision and configure servers, storage and operating systems for SAP S/4HANA, HANA, CAR, EWM, PI/PO and Fiori environments.
- Support infrastructure sizing, capacity planning and environment refreshes.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, build records and configuration baselines.
- Support multi-workplace SAP landscapes for distributed store and warehouse locations.

Availability, Backup & Performance

- Configure and test backup, restore, High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
- Monitor CPU, memory, storage, I/O and infrastructure performance.
- Investigate infrastructure bottlenecks affecting SAP performance.
- Support performance and volume testing by ensuring environments are appropriately sized.





Security & Compliance

- Perform operating system and platform patching according to security standards.
- Support infrastructure hardening, certificate management and access controls.
- Provide infrastructure evidence for audit and compliance requirements.

Cutover, Go-Live & Hypercare

- Support SAP cutover activities, system freezes, system copies and pre-cutover backups.
- Monitor environments during go-live and hypercare.
- Troubleshoot and escalate infrastructure risks such as failed backups, capacity constraints and environment unavailability.
- Provide extended/out-of-hours support during cutover and go-live weekends.

Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with SAP Basis, Network, Security, Cloud and Hosting teams.
- Work with onshore/offshore teams and external vendors.
- Support handover to infrastructure operations teams.

Mandatory Requirements

- 5 to 8 years of infrastructure experience supporting SAP landscapes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and HANA database infrastructure.
- Mandatory: At least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA Retail implementation delivered end-to-end, from design through go-live.




- Experience with multi-environment SAP landscapes supporting stores and warehouse locations.
- Strong Linux administration experience.
- Experience with storage and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Experience with SAP environment builds, refreshes, cutover and hypercare.
- Knowledge of backup/restore, HA, DR and SAP system copy procedures.
- Understanding of SAP-certified infrastructure requirements, sizing and HANA prerequisites.
- Scripting/automation experience using Shell, PowerShell, Ansible or similar tools.
- Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, alerting, patching and certificate management.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with distributed technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
- Azure/AWS/GCP certification.
- SAP HANA Infrastructure certification.
- Experience supporting large-scale retail SAP landscapes from offshore locations.
- ITIL knowledge.
- Experience with Jira, ServiceNow or similar IT service-management tools.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Methodical approach to infrastructure performance and availability issues.
- Good written and verbal English communication.
- Ability to work with offshore/onshore stakeholders.
- Willingness to provide UAE business-hour overlap and extended support during cutover/go-live.
