MailerMen is hiring an SAP Architect - SAP MII SME to lead the design, implementation and support of manufacturing integration and shop-floor connectivity solutions. SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) is the layer that connects plant equipment and factory systems to the business systems above them, so that what happens on the shop floor is visible in SAP ERP and S/4HANA in near real time. As the subject-matter expert for that layer, you will act as both a technical and a functional authority, bridging plant systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES) and SAP ERP or S/4HANA.

The architecture work defines how SAP MII connects to SAP ERP and S/4HANA, to SAP ME and SAP Digital Manufacturing, and to shop-floor equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and SCADA supervisory control systems, and it produces plant integration frameworks that hold up across sites. On the build side you will develop and configure MII transactions, iFlows, Business Logic Services (BLS, the scripted logic blocks that move and transform data inside MII), query templates and OData or web service integrations, and you will create the dashboards, KPIs and analytical views that put production data in front of the people who act on it.

Connectivity runs through protocols built for industrial equipment, chiefly OPC UA, a vendor-neutral standard for exchanging data with machines, and SAP Plant Connectivity (PCo), which links those machines to MII. You will enable plant data collection and traceability to support production tracking, quality management and equipment monitoring through overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), the standard measure of how much of a plant's available capacity is turned into good output. Alongside that, you will design real-time data models for production KPIs, integrate them with SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI, tune MII transactions and queries for performance, provide L2 and L3 support for MII and SAP ME environments,



and set the coding standards and documentation that keep the solution maintainable.

This is a contract role of six months, worked remotely from anywhere in India. Compensation is ₹1,50,000 per month plus GST. Working hours must overlap US Central Time (CST). Responsibilities

- Design end-to-end SAP MII architectures for manufacturing environments, including scalable and robust plant integration frameworks.
- Define integration patterns between SAP ERP or S/4HANA, SAP ME and MES systems, and shop-floor systems such as PLC and SCADA.
- Develop and configure SAP MII components, including transactions, iFlows, Business Logic Services and query templates.
- Build OData and web service integrations between SAP MII and connected systems.
- Build dashboards, KPIs and analytical views that enable real-time data capture and visualisation.
- Integrate SAP MII with SAP ME, SAP Digital Manufacturing, third-party MES systems, IoT platforms and industrial devices.
- Implement shop-floor connectivity using OPC UA, SAP Plant Connectivity and REST or SOAP web services.
- Enable plant data collection and traceability to support production tracking, equipment monitoring through OEE, and quality management.
- Design real-time data models for production KPIs and operational dashboards and integrate them with SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI.
- Optimise MII transactions and queries and troubleshoot performance issues and bottlenecks.




- Provide L2 and L3 support for MII and SAP ME environments and maintain documentation for solutions and integrations.
- Work with manufacturing, operations and IT teams to translate plant requirements into SAP MII solutions and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

- 9+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in SAP MII or manufacturing integration roles.
- Experience delivering end-to-end SAP MII implementation projects.
- Robust hands-on experience with core SAP MII development, including BLS transactions, iFlows and query templates.
- Working knowledge of SAP ME or SAP Digital Manufacturing.
- Understanding of how SAP MII integrates with SAP ERP and S/4HANA.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Plant Connectivity (PCo).
- Experience building and consuming web services, including REST, SOAP and OData.
- Good understanding of MES concepts, shop-floor operations, production processes and workflows, OEE, quality and traceability.
- Familiarity with OPC UA or comparable industrial protocols and with IoT integration concepts.
- Working knowledge of databases, including SQL and SAP HANA, along with JavaScript for MII user interface components and basic Java.
- Ability to work with manufacturing, operations and IT stakeholders and translate plant requirements into SAP MII solutions.
- SAP certification in MII, ME or Digital Manufacturing is preferred, as is exposure to SAP BTP, SAP IoT or cloud-based MES and smart factory initiatives.
