The Regional Coordinator will oversee local coordination and operational readiness across up to five locations under the School Screening Program. The role will ensure effective coordination between local field teams, schools, institutional stakeholders and the central program team, with a focus on planning, execution readiness, stakeholder management, issue resolution, data/reporting discipline and achievement of program targets across assigned locations.

1. Regional Planning & Operational Coordination

- Oversee weekly and monthly operational planning across up to five assigned locations.
- Consolidate location-wise screening plans, school schedules, team availability, consent status, and transport requirements.
- Review readiness of each location before scheduled field activities.
- Monitor progress against location-wise and regional targets and identify deviations early.
- Coordinate with Local Coordinators/field teams to ensure continuity of operations across locations.

2. School & Stakeholder Coordination

- Provide oversight to local school engagement and coordination activities.
- Support resolution of school-level operational issues and escalations.
- Maintain effective relationships with school authorities, local stakeholders and relevant institutional representatives.
- Ensure timely communication of program requirements, schedules and changes across assigned locations.
- Escalate unresolved stakeholder or operational issues to the Program Manager/appropriate authority.

3. Team Coordination & Performance Management

- Coordinate with Local Coordinators, Optometrists, Vision Technicians, Field Assistants and other field personnel across assigned locations.
- Ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation for planned activities.
- Monitor team attendance, deployment and field readiness.
- Identify recurring team-level challenges and coordinate corrective actions.




- Facilitate communication and sharing of operational learnings across locations.

4. School Readiness, Consent & Screening Readiness

- Monitor school approval and consent readiness across assigned locations.
- Ensure schools are scheduled only when required approvals, consents, team availability and logistics are adequately confirmed.
- Track pending/blocked schools and ensure timely follow-up.
- Review reasons for cancellations, low-output days and delays and initiate corrective action.

5. Referral & Follow-up Oversight

- Monitor location-wise referral generation and follow-up.
- Ensure referral lists are generated, updated and followed up systematically.
- Review referral conversion, physical consultation/teleconsultation and spectacle delivery status.
- Identify locations with referral backlogs and coordinate corrective action with field teams.

6. Data Quality & Reporting

- Ensure timely submission of location-wise operational reports.
- Review completeness and consistency of screening, referral, consent and school-level data.
- Coordinate with the data/program team for reconciliation and resolution of data discrepancies.
- Maintain a consolidated regional tracker covering all assigned locations.
- Provide regular exception-based updates to the Program Manager.

7. Logistics & Resource Management

- Coordinate transport and other field logistics across assigned locations.
- Ensure timely escalation of equipment, vehicle, staffing or infrastructure constraints.
- Monitor appropriate utilisation of available field resources.
- Coordinate with relevant administrative/central teams for resolution of logistical issues.

8. Problem Solving & Escalation

- Identify operational bottlenecks across locations and initiate timely corrective action.
- Maintain an escalation tracker for unresolved issues.
- Distinguish between location-level issues that can be resolved locally and those requiring central intervention.
- Escalate critical risks that may affect screening targets, timelines, quality or stakeholder relationship
