About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Career Counsellor to join our expanding US IT staffing team in Chennai, located in Perungudi. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with IT professionals, understanding their career aspirations, skill sets, and preferences, and guiding them towards suitable employment opportunities within the US market.

The Career

Counsellor will play a vital role in sourcing, screening, and engaging candidates, ensuring a seamless recruitment process that aligns with client requirements. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about career development, with a keen interest in US staffing and technical recruitment. Training and mentorship will be provided to help you succeed and grow within our organization.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, IT, or a related field. Prior experience in US staffing, technical recruitment, or career counseling is preferred but not mandatory,



as freshers with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in recruitment are encouraged to apply. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach, good understanding of candidate sourcing techniques, and familiarity with job portals such as Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, and LinkedIn. Basic knowledge of US staffing terminology, work authorization types (W2, C2C, 1099), and US shift timings (CST) will be advantageous. A willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a target-driven setting is critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities The Career Counsellor will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at building a strong candidate pipeline and facilitating successful placements.

Key responsibilities include

- Connecting with IT professionals to understand their skills, experience, career goals, and job preferences.
- Recommending suitable career opportunities based on candidate profiles and client needs.
- Sourcing candidates through various platforms such as Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, and internal databases.
- Reviewing resumes and conducting initial discussions to assess candidate qualifications and expectations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinating interview schedules, follow-ups, and providing timely feedback to candidates and clients.




- Collaborating closely with senior counsellors, recruiters, and account managers to fulfill client requirements effectively.
- Maintaining accurate and updated candidate data within internal systems and databases.
- Learning and applying US staffing concepts such as W2, C2C, 1099, and work authorization procedures.
- Achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sourcing and candidate engagement targets to ensure recruitment goals are met.
