Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Bengaluru.

The Quantity

Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for residential interior projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates and budget alignment. Daily tasks include tracking project costs, updating cost reports, and working closely with designers, project managers, and contractors to maintain financial control throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves monitoring expenditures, supporting procurement decisions, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising design quality.

The Quantity

Surveyor will also assist in cost planning during the design phase and provide clear, timely commercial updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong cost planning skills, including experience in developing initial budgets and detailed cost forecasts for interior or construction projects.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs, with the ability to interpret design drawings and specifications accurately.
- Proven cost control and cost management capabilities to monitor expenses, manage variations, and support value engineering.
- Experience in cost reporting, including preparation of regular financial updates, cash flow projections, and final account summaries.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.




- Comfort working on-site in a collaborative environment with designers, contractors, and vendors.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and Excel skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
- Prior experience in residential interiors or fit-out projects in Bengaluru or similar markets is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed and error-free BOQs from design conceptualization through execution.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimations for:
- Custom carpentry
- Modular woodwork
- False ceilings
- Finishes and interior materials
- Conduct site measurements and verify actual site dimensions before procurement and budgeting.
- Track and manage Variation Orders (VOs) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Verify, audit, and negotiate vendor and contractor invoices to ensure billing accuracy.
- Support commercial planning and cost control for turnkey residential interior projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./) or Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management.
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, including: Plywood, Laminates, Veneers, Hardware, Stone, Paint.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting AutoCAD drawings, layouts, elevations, and joinery details.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in premium residential interior projects is mandatory.
