About the Role

We are looking for a robust, hands-on Quality Manager to lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control function at our automotive plastic injection molding plant. This is a high-visibility role: the person will own internal and external/customer audits end-to-end, drive the plant's MIS reporting and Management Review Meetings (MRM), and be the single point of accountability for linking quality performance to on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable presenting to leadership and Tier 1 auditors as they are walking the shop floor with operators — which is why fluency in both Kannada and English is essential for this role. What You'll Own Audits, Compliance & Management Reporting Lead internal audits, layered process audits (LPA), product audits, and represent the plant during external/customer and OEM audits. Own IATF 16949 certification and compliance with APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and customer-specific requirements. Prepare and present monthly/weekly MIS reports to management covering quality performance, rejections, PPM, and delivery-linked metrics. Drive and lead Management Review Meetings (MRM), presenting quality and improvement performance, audit status, and action closure to leadership. Own documentation control — Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Work Instructions — and ensure timely closure of audit non-conformities (NCs). Quality – Delivery Linkage & Continuous Improvement Track and reduce quality-driven dispatch delays; work with production planning and SCM to protect on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery. Champion Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Six Sigma practices to reduce variation,



cut rework, and improve yield. Drive zero-defect and mistake-proofing initiatives; optimize processes to reduce downtime, improve OEE, and lower Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).

New Product

Development & Process Validation Lead APQP activities for new product development and process launches; prepare and submit PPAP documentation to customers. Drive process validation — Run @ Rate, capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and production trial approvals — and coordinate with tooling and production during mold trials and engineering changes.

Technical Quality

Control Define inspection standards for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods. Oversee calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments (CMM, video measuring scope, roughness tester, digital vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.). Ensure implementation of MSA, Gauge R&R; studies, and SPC monitoring.

Defect

Analysis & Customer Complaint Management Lead customer complaint resolution using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies. Drive corrective and preventive actions for warranty issues, line rejections, and field failures. Monitor customer PPM, internal rejection, and escalation trends and report them through MIS/MRM. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Lead and mentor the QA/QC team (8–15 members), ensuring technical skill development and adherence to safety protocols. Partner closely with production, tooling, maintenance, SCM,



and engineering to build quality into daily operations. Identify quality risks and build mitigation plans that protect customer trust, delivery commitments, and business continuity.

Customer PPM reduction Internal rejection reduction On-time PPAP approval Audit NC closure on time MRM action closure rate and MIS reporting timeliness On-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery – quality-linked OEE improvement / COPQ reduction Zero customer line stoppage What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, CIPET, or a related field. 10–12 years of QA experience in automotive injection molding, including 3–5 years in a managerial role leading audits and a QA/QC team. Strong, demonstrable expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis. Proven track record managing IATF 16949 certification and leading OEM / Tier-1 customer audits, MACE audit, MIS reporting, and MRM. Proficiency with advanced inspection systems and measurement tools. Be a window person for customer on all matters of customer complaints Fluent in Kannada and English — mandatory for effective shop-floor communication and workforce leadership. Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior management and customers. Good to Have Experience in automotive interior, exterior, under-the-hood, or electrical plastic components. Exposure to automation, poka yoke, process gauges, checking gauges, and vision inspection systems. Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification.
