About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves spearheading our automation testing initiatives, developing comprehensive test frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of test automation, particularly with Selenium WebDriver and Java, and have proven leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of QA engineers.

As a key contributor to our quality assurance strategy, you will collaborate closely with development, product management, and DevOps teams to embed automation best practices within our development lifecycle, especially within our CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 7-9 years of professional experience in test automation, with a strong focus on Selenium WebDriver and Java.
- Proven experience in leading and managing QA automation teams.
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues.




- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and collaborate across departments.
- Experience with other testing tools and frameworks, such as TestNG, JUnit, Jenkins, and Git, is a plus.
- Knowledge of performance, security, and integration testing is desirable.

Responsibilities

- Define, implement, and continuously improve the overall test automation strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Automation QA Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and professional growth.
- Architect and develop scalable, maintainable, and robust test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
- Oversee the creation, execution, and analysis of automated test suites across different environments and application layers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with development, product management, and DevOps teams to integrate automation testing into the CI/CD pipeline, promoting continuous testing and delivery.
- Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and innovative testing solutions within the automation team.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects, provide actionable insights to development teams, and ensure effective defect management processes.
- Evaluate emerging testing tools, technologies,



and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness.
- Participate in architectural discussions, providing quality assurance insights and recommendations for system improvements.
- Ensure the automation testing process covers functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing as applicable.
- Manage testing activities, resource allocation, and project timelines effectively to meet organizational and client expectations.
