QA Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You'll design and execute test plans, identify bugs, and work closely with development teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans for web/mobile applications
- Perform manual and automated testing across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Build and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives)
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing
- Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to the team
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices
- Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes




- Experience with manual testing and writing detailed test cases
- Familiarity with automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
- Basic scripting/programming knowledge (Python, Java, or JavaScript)
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing
- Exposure to mobile app testing (iOS/Android)
- ISTQB or other QA certifications
- Experience testing cloud-based applications
