As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Purchase Engineer to join our team and oversee procurement activities essential for our manufacturing operations.

Role Overview: As a Purchase Engineer specializing in industrial filter manufacturing, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for our production activities. Your responsibilities will include sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods to support our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Identification and Relationship Management:

· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of raw materials, components, machinery, and services pertinent to industrial filter manufacturing. · Develop and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and communication to ensure mutual success.
1. Procurement Planning and Execution:

· Collaborate with production and inventory teams to forecast material requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly. · Execute procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders, monitoring order status, and expediting deliveries as needed to meet production schedules.
1. Cost Analysis and Negotiation:

· Conduct cost analysis of materials and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions. · Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction through volume discounts, alternate sourcing, and value engineering initiatives.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

· Ensure that procured materials and components meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements. · Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement supplier quality management processes and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
1. Inventory Management:

· Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize stock outs, and reduce excess inventory holding costs. · Implement inventory control measures, such as just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems, to enhance operational efficiency.
1. Supply Chain Optimization:

· Continuously assess and optimize the supply chain for efficiency, reliability, and resilience. · Identify and mitigate risks to the supply chain, such as supply shortages, geopolitical issues, and natural disasters.
1. Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. · Generate reports and analysis to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on sourcing materials and components.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Analytical mind-set with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of industrial filtration systems and related components is advantageous.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
