VSS Power is looking for skilled and motivated Substation Design Engineers to join our engineering team. The role will involve working across Primary Plant Design and Protection & Control engineering for HV/EHV substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare engineering designs and drawings for HV/EHV substations
- Develop Single Line Diagrams,



General Arrangement and equipment layouts
- Prepare busbar, section/elevation and equipment arrangement drawings
- Develop Protection & Control SLDs, AC/DC schematics and interlocking schemes
- Prepare control & relay panel drawings, wiring diagrams and cable schedules
- Prepare earthing, lightning protection and lighting layouts
- Support cable sizing, routing and termination design
- Prepare BOQ/MTO and technical documentation
- Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Coordinate with Primary, P&C;, Civil and commissioning teams
- Support testing, commissioning and project execution activities

Requirements:

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 2–20 years of experience in substation/power engineering
- Knowledge of HV/EHV substation design
- Experience in Primary Plant Design and/or Protection & Control Design
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Understanding of AIS/GIS substations and HV equipment
- Knowledge of protection schemes, numerical relays and substation automation will be an advantage
- Good technical, analytical and coordination skills
- Experience with transmission/distribution substation projects preferred
- Immediate joiners preferred
- Willingness to relocate to Hubballi-Dharwad
