About the RoleWe are looking for a technically skilled and result-oriented Project Engineer to manage and execute automation and special-purpose machine projects from project initiation through installation and commissioning. The role involves coordination with Design, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Purchase, Production, Assembly and customers to ensure projects are completed as per technical requirements, quality standards and committed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate and execute automation, SPM and assembly line projects from project kick-off to final commissioning.
- Understand customer requirements, technical specifications and project scope.
- Coordinate with Mechanical Design, Electrical, Controls, Purchase, Production and Assembly teams for smooth project execution.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, action plans and project status reports.
- Monitor project progress against defined timelines, milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate procurement and availability of project-related components and materials.
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs, technical specifications and project documentation.
- Coordinate machine assembly, testing, trials and debugging activities.
- Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), installation, commissioning and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities at customer locations.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams for technical clarifications,



modifications and project requirements.
- Identify project risks, delays and technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure machines and automation systems meet defined quality, safety and performance requirements.
- Coordinate site installation and provide technical support during machine commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, checklists and handover documents.
- Track project changes and ensure timely communication of scope or design modifications.
- Coordinate with service and customer teams for successful project handover.
- Travel to customer locations in India and overseas as required for installation, commissioning and project support.
- Ensure project execution is aligned with company quality, safety and customer satisfaction standards.

Technical ExposureThe candidate should have an understanding of:
- Special Purpose Machines (SPMs)
- Industrial Automation
- Assembly Line Automation
- Robotics and Automation
- Mechanical / Electrical / Controls coordination
- PLC and HMI-based automation concepts
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Sensors, actuators and industrial components
- Machine assembly and troubleshooting
- FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning




- Engineering drawings and BOMs
- Basic project planning and execution

Preferred Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in project execution, automation, SPM, assembly machines or industrial machinery.
- Experience in handling machine projects from design through commissioning will be preferred.
- Experience in customer coordination and site execution will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites in India and overseas.

Travel RequirementWillingness to travel to customer sites in India and overseas is required, depending on project requirements.

Reporting

- Reports To: Project Manager / Project Head
- Beneficial experience includes working with multinational clients, exposure to industrial automation projects, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
