About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations at our solar structure manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production planning, manpower management, quality control, material utilization, and timely dispatch of fabricated/roll-formed steel structures.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining product quality, safety, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and monitor daily and monthly production activities.
- Manage manufacturing of C-Section, Hat Section, rails, purlins, columns, brackets, and other solar mounting structures.
- Handle production processes including roll forming, cutting, punching, bending, fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Prepare production plans based on customer orders and dispatch schedules.
- Manage manpower, shifts, machines, and production resources effectively.
- Monitor raw material consumption and minimize material wastage.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Sales, and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure production is completed within the required quality and delivery timelines.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance.
- Implement production processes to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Maintain daily production reports, material consumption records, rejection reports, and downtime records.




- Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular quality checks and ensure products meet approved drawings and specifications.
- Supervise loading and dispatch to ensure correct quantity and product identification.
- Train and supervise production workers and supervisors.

Requirements

- 3–7 years of experience in production/manufacturing, preferably in steel fabrication, roll forming, solar structures, or similar industries.
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering preferred.
- Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Experience with roll forming machines, hydraulic press brakes, punching machines, welding, cutting, and fabrication equipment will be an advantage.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Strong leadership and manpower-management skills.
- Good knowledge of production planning and inventory control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
