Production Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, production planning, plant efficiency, manpower, safety, quality, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate should have robust experience in spray drying and auxiliary plant systems , along with proven leadership and troubleshooting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct and coordinate the daily operations of the manufacturing plant to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Manage production planning and scheduling and ensure timely execution and compliance with production targets.
- Oversee spray drying operations and auxiliary systems, including evaporators, strippers, cyclones, and related equipment.
- Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, airflow, and atomization to maintain stable and efficient operations.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, technical, and process-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and production losses.
- Supervise plant operators, shift engineers, and production staff , including daily manpower planning and shift allocation.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure accountability, discipline, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular reviews with department HODs and coordinate cross-functional activities to achieve production and operational objectives.
- Monitor and review major quality deviations, process issues, equipment breakdowns, and corrective actions
- Develop and implement processes and operational improvements to **increase productivity,



efficiency, and overall plant performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP, hygiene, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 within the plant.
- Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, process records, and operational documentation .
- Support and coordinate preventive maintenance, equipment inspection, troubleshooting, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor plant equipment and ensure that machinery and systems remain in safe and proper working condition.
- Coordinate repair, replacement, and maintenance of plant equipment as required.
- Work closely with the Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Engineering, and other departments to resolve operational issues and maintain production standards.
- * Ensure adherence to safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture and accountability among plant personnel.
- * Identify training requirements and provide or coordinate training and educational programs for staff.
- * Support the recruitment, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of production and plant personnel as required.
- * Prepare and review production reports,



analyze operational performance, and take corrective actions where required.
- * Ensure the plant consistently meets production, quality, safety, efficiency, and compliance targets.

Education & Experience *Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.

- Relevant experience in manufacturing/chemical/food/pharmaceutical or process industries, preferably with hands-on experience in spray drying operations.
- Prior experience in a Production Manager / Plant Operations / Production leadership role will be preferred.
- Experience in handling plant operations, production teams, equipment troubleshooting, and process improvement is required.
