The Role: Product Intern Customer Experience

Youll join the Customer Experience Product team and work on initiatives that make every interaction with Upstox simpler, faster, and more seamless.

This is a hands-on, 01 product role where youll work across customer research, product discovery, data analysis, PRDs, wireframes, experimentation and execution.

Youll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to understand customer problems, identify opportunities and translate insights into meaningful product experiences.

You wont just observe the product-building process youll get the opportunity to research, create, experiment and ship .

What Youll Work On

Product & Asset Creation

- Create clear and structured PRDs that translate customer problems into actionable product requirements.

- Design wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate product ideas and user flows.

- Conduct user research and secondary research to understand customer needs, behaviours and pain points.

- Use Jira to track requirements, tasks and product execution.





- Build and maintain product roadmaps in collaboration with the Product team.

- Analyse user events and SQL data to identify behavioural patterns, product opportunities and areas of friction.

- Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering to take ideas from concept to execution.

Product Skills

- Demonstrate solid 01 product thinking identify a problem, understand the user, formulate a solution and test it.

- Work on and contribute to B2C products with a strong focus on customer experience.

- Apply strong user-centric thinking when defining problems and evaluating solutions.

- Take an experimental and hypothesis-driven approach to product development.

- Use data, customer insights and experimentation to validate product decisions.

- Participate in product discovery, prioritisation and post-launch analysis.

What Were Looking For

- Strong interest in Product Management and building consumer products.

- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and break them down into actionable steps.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Curiosity to understand why customers behave the way they do .

- Ability to think from the customer's perspective and identify friction in a journey.

- Comfortable working with data and analytics .

- Willingness to work closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams.

- Strong ownership and a bias for action .





- Comfortable learning new tools and concepts quickly.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity.

Good to Have

- Ability to use AI to accelerate your product workflow research, analysis, ideation, prototyping, documentation or other product work.

- Exposure to stock broking, investing or financial products .

- Familiarity with SQL, Jira, analytics tools, prototyping or wireframing tools .

- Previous experience building or contributing to B2C products through internships, projects or coursework.
