Fastener industry (The fastener industry manufactures the hardware devices—such as screws, nuts, bolts, washers, and rivets—used to mechanically join two or more objects together)/ Steel Industry Preferred

Job Purpose The Plant Head is responsible for the overall management and performance of the manufacturing plant, including production, quality, maintenance, safety, cost, productivity, people, and statutory compliance. The role requires strong leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable plant operations while meeting business targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the overall plant operations and achieve production, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Develop and implement annual operating plans, budgets, and manufacturing strategies.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining required quality standards.
- Drive OEE, productivity, capacity utilization, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and applicable standards.




- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and minimize breakdowns.
- Ensure strict compliance with EHS, fire safety, environmental, labor, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor plant KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews with functional heads.
- Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement initiatives as applicable.
- Optimize manpower, raw materials, utilities, inventory, and other manufacturing resources.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Stores, HR, Finance, and Sales/Commercial teams.
- Develop the plant leadership team and build a culture of accountability, discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Manage employee relations and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure timely completion of new projects, plant expansions, process improvements, and technology upgrades.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for major production, quality, safety, and equipment issues.
- Maintain robust relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders when required.
