Role & responsibilities

- Lead the overall plant operations of the upcoming 40,000 MT per annum Greenfield Aluminium Alloy Manufacturing Facility.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for plant setup, commissioning, stabilisation, and commercial operations.
- Plan and manage production, melting, casting, alloying, material handling, and related manufacturing processes to achieve production and quality targets.
- Develop and implement production plans, operating procedures, process controls, and performance standards.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, raw materials, utilities, and other resources.
- Lead and coordinate Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Stores, Utilities, and other plant functions.
- Establish and monitor quality standards, process parameters, yield, recovery, rejection, energy consumption, and production efficiency.
- Ensure effective implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance systems to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
- Drive cost optimisation, productivity improvement, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Build, train, and lead a competent plant operations and technical team.
- Establish appropriate MIS, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems for monitoring plant performance.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers,



consultants, contractors, and internal management for operational requirements.
- Support procurement and technical evaluation of plant machinery, equipment, utilities, and process systems.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive a strong culture of safety, quality, discipline, operational excellence, and accountability across the plant.
- Work closely with senior management on capacity planning, expansion, budgeting, capital expenditure, working capital, and long-term operational strategy.
- Ensure the plant achieves targeted production capacity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and profitability objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

- 1015 years of relevant experience in Aluminium / Aluminium Alloy manufacturing or related metallurgical manufacturing operations.
- Experience in Greenfield plant setup and commissioning will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in melting, alloying, casting, furnace operations, and aluminium recycling/alloy manufacturing will be preferred.
- Engineering or Metallurgy/Metallurgical qualification with strong hands-on plant leadership experience.
