Role Description The Plant Head (Ayurvedic / FMCG Manufacturing) is a full-time, on-site role based at the Jodhpur manufacturing facilities, responsible for overseeing end-to-end plant operations. This role includes planning and managing production activities, ensuring adherence to GMP standards, and maintaining consistent product quality across Ayurvedic and FMCG lines.

The Plant

Head will coordinate with cross-functional teams for material planning, maintenance, and dispatch, while optimizing resources, controlling costs, and meeting output and efficiency targets.



Daily responsibilities also include monitoring quality control and compliance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, driving safety and hygiene practices, and leading, mentoring, and developing plant teams. The role requires close collaboration with senior management to support capacity expansion, recent product introductions, and long-term operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in plant operations and overall production management within Ayurvedic, herbal, or FMCG manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and resource optimization to meet volume, cost, and timeline targets.
- Hands-on experience in quality control, GMP compliance, and implementation of robust quality assurance systems.
- Ability to manage budgeting, cost control, and operational KPIs to drive efficient and sustainable plant performance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Pharmacy, Ayurvedic/Herbal Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in manufacturing leadership roles, preferably as Plant Head or similar capacity.
- Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills, with the ability to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, along with effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, EHS standards, and modern manufacturing practices such as Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma is an advantage.
